This is the only video i found on YT that shows the detailed steps for the Outlander brake and rotor change thank you. May i ask when you replace the rotors for the rear is it the same process as the front rotors?

Hi there. I am glad that it has helped. I am yet to change the rear rotors but I believe it is the same. After you remove the calipers and pads, you then remove the pad carrier and that should give you the room you need to remove them then. I hope this helps 👍🏻

Well done for (what I guess) is your first attempt, but your belt is a bit tight mate. Now, this explanation is mainly for long ribbed flat serpentine drive belts but it works reasonably well on a normal V belt too, and its pretty easy to do & it is free.. 1. look at the belt from either above or from the side and find the longest stretch (or length) of the belt between any of the pulleys, this will be the part of the belt that you will use to check the tension. 2. Now using as much strength as you can twist this longest section of the belt between your *thumb and fingers* until you can just turn it to exactly 90deg and no more or less. When it is right it will be quite hard & stiff at 90deg and when it is wrong it will be loose at 90deg. It can take a few times to get right if your new at it, so don't give up. Note - Orientation: a. If you are looking at the top of the belt when it is turned(or twisted) 90 deg you should be able to *see the side of the belt* when it is tight enough. b. If you are looking at the belt from the side when it is turned (or twisted) 90deg you should be able to *see the belts flat top* when it is tight enough. Works best with the flat drive belts though, but hope this helps.

Thank you mate, you are 100% right there. This belt didn't last more than about 14 months, so the next one I did some research and did the 90° rule and it worked a treat. That's great advice. Cheers man

Does the 2.0L petrol one have a fuel filter?

Hi, i have been Looking into it. Apparently according to some online forums, it may have one on the bulkhead (in a similar place to the Diesel one). Hi, I'm sorry I didn't remove the e brake cable for the pads on the rear. But I think, if it is the same as my Vauxhall (gm) if you have the e brake off. Put the caliper back in place with bolts in it and then use a big flat head screw driver or set of pipe grips to push and hold the e brake lever back and it should give you enough room to remove the cable from the lever. I hope that this helps

Hi, thinking about to put same set of springs in my Jero Sport. After few months of driving would you still recommend? How ist the ride overal? Thanks for reply.
@wolf_kiff_workshop
@wolf_kiff_workshop 2 ай бұрын
Hi, yes it's been over 12 months but I would still recommend them. It's perfect for my type of driving. I do mainly on road driving with light off road and green laning. The springs are stiffer so on road mine doesn't wallow or roll on the turns as much which I find better. But it lifted it 2.5-3 inches which means when I am off road it doesn't catch or drag the tow bat or chassis like before. Also because they are 20% uprated / stiffer I recently had over half a tonne load in the back and it handled it well. And since this video I have towed a caravan and multiple trailers of different wieght which it has handled well to.
@wolf_kiff_workshop

Wonderful. I believe the car was number 780 registration OE54 FMF if memory serves me right. As you say it was the only solid black V8 tourer made and it was a contemporary model. I attended the Pride of Longbridge rally circa April2015( i think )and i met and spoke briefly to your Uncle Ted. As I recall I remember his long hair and Oxfordshire accent. His car was the first and only V8 tourer i had ever seen and it was a real privilege and delight to see it. It was so special. It had red plastic wheel trim inserts between the tyre wall and the star spoke alloy wheels. He told me that he had owned it since it was new. I got the feeling he very proud of it and rightly so. I didn't know he loved American cars though. I love them too and i have always been a big MG/Rover fan. Moving forward to late September 2021 i was looking on the internet Thursday and came across a Rover V8 Tourer for sale in High Wycombe. I rang the seller on the Friday but couldn't get to see it on the Saturday because they wouldn't be available at the time i could get there and arranged to go and see it the following Monday. I have only ever seen one tourer for sale in all the time since production ended until this one came up and knew how rare they were. This was at the time when i think just stop oil protestors were blockading the fuel depots. When the Saturday arrived there was panic at the fuel stations in the South and i wondered would i get to see it.(i Live in North Yorks) On the Saturday i was doing some research on the internet and blow me i couldn't believe it i saw your Uncle Teds car advertised on autotrader. I knew i had to go and see it if i could as well as the other but the question was would i have enough petrol and how far out the way would it take me? I worked out it would only take me 9 miles out of the way. Suffice to say i travelled down on the Monday and was able to take the detour to Lodge Hill garage near Abingdon. I knew the car instantly and it had 47000 miles on the clock. The trader told me they had taken off a local gentleman who had unfortunately had had to give up driving due to failing eyesight?( sad when you love them so much). I was very impressed with the car but told the trader i had another to go and see(i bet he thought a likely story) but if that didn't turn out to be any good i would buy this one if it was still available. I ended up buying the one in High Wycombe in Pearlescent British racing green as it had 19000 on the clock. I did consider buying both but my sensible head said no. If the green car hadn't lived up to expectations i would have bought your uncle teds car .I often wonder where it has disappeared to now as DVLA does not show any record of that number any more and hadn't shortly after i bought mine so i suspected it was on a private plate. I keep looking and it surely will turn up at a show some day. Your Uncle ted wont know or even remember me but i do remember with fondness speaking to him and admiring his wonderful car. Please send him my best wishes and sincere regards. Well done to you for telling his story. When i first saw the picture i didn't realise the video was for a tourer i thought it was one of the Press 75V8 saloons so when i discovered it was your uncle Teds car i was so delighted.

He had a Raven Black 620sli that my grandad had off of him and then I believe he had a couple of rover 75 V6 models before the 260. I hope his V8 is still going. I will pass on your regards.
