Can sanitary sealing rings be used? Or do I need to buy rubber gaskets (rings) specifically for the tool?
@RefurbishmentKJ3 күн бұрын
The sealing ring is special, and the general material may not be wear-resistant enough

I beg you very much! What kind of thick oil do you use. I see two types of them. One yellow. Another brown one at 15:03 What are they called? Please
@RefurbishmentKJ3 күн бұрын
I used two kinds of oil, one is ordinary grease, I used SKF LGMT2, and the other yellow one is special oil for electric hammer cylinder, which is thinner.

Fake restoration
@RefurbishmentKJ12 күн бұрын
I bought this for about $10 on a second-hand trading platform. There were a lot of broken tools on it, so I didn't need to fake it. There are enough old things in the world, and it's not worth deliberately breaking good things just to make a video. That doesn't fit my philosophy of refurbishment and restoration.
@alexpadovano846113 күн бұрын
Why is there yellow rust on the *plastic* casing? Because a working tool was intentionally "distressed" to make this video.
@RefurbishmentKJ12 күн бұрын
The yellow part is paint. To prevent the workers from using other people's tools by mistake, they will spray paint or write on it. In addition, there are many such scrapped tools on the second-hand market, and they can't be repaired. I don't need to fake it myself.

Nice job. Just one thing missing. Discrete 5.5mm charging socket somewhere on the handle.
@RefurbishmentKJ12 күн бұрын
Thanks for reminding me. I really forgot about that. I usually charge with an adjustable power supply. I should add a separate charging port.

@RefurbishmentKJ12 күн бұрын
I usually use lithium-based grease with moderate viscosity. Don't use oil that is too thin.

Second hand tool that was put in a tumbler with stones (notice all the rounded letters and corners) then sprinkled with dirty water. It's really lame and easy to ignore. Its just annoying that I like legit channels like this and then this sh0jit youtube company pushes this on me. BLEH bruh

The only way this is worthwhile is to have a KZfaq channel and make money from the channel. Cleaning and reassembling worn parts is not restoration.
