Just out of pure enjoyment. There is really no point to any sort of racing at all, we really only do it for fun. Then gambling/ betting got involved to turn it into a money making thing. Still is more for enjoyment then anything though.

I saw these beasts in Sydney Olympic Park when they went there in 2015. They are extraordinary machines, and in fact two crashed right in front of me to the point I could get a clear look into the cockpit.
