@@TraditionalArcheryJourney I got into archery late in life just before my 60th birthday and I have met here on KZfaq some amazing friends! (I have met a couple of complete jerk-offs as well, but more good than bad! And some that are awesome people!) I wish I had started earlier in life, and at 63 I don't have as many tomorrow's as I have had yesterday's so I realize I may never have the time here on earth to be a tremendous archer, but I can do it till I drop and the good Lord takes me home. And I have received some good tips, and challenges from people like Red who are of marksman caliper that are helping me get better, and they never look down on me for not being as good as they are! Well the nocking point on the string is not dead center it's up maybe a quarter inch or about five eight's, but the arrow laying on the shelf is exactly dead center of the bow because I made the shelf dead center of the riser and the top and bottom limbs are exactly the same length. (The riser is 12" long, and the high point of the shelf is right at the 6" mark . So the arrow lays dead center.) If shooting feathers I probably can get away with the arrow nocked dead center, but because I like to shoot vanes too, I set the nocking point up just a tad for clearance. No matter what I think the point on the string should never be completely vertical to the shelf, but the arrow lays on the shelf dead center of the bow. The center of the bow is not somewhere located in the handle as all bows that I have are And as you stated in your video. Thanks for watching, subscribing, and God bless you!

Feathers are certainly easier to shoot, but vanes can be shot with no problem if you set your bow up for it properly. I do shoot feathers, but I really like vanes too - plus vanes are cheaper and don't get damaged like feathers do. You can also shoot vanes in the rain, feathers don't work well when wet. And I have always been that guy that will do things that people tell me can't be done! As with almost everything in life, if there's a will - there's a way! You just have to find the Way! @@christophertracey7201 I had the limbs they are 35# limbs from one of my Sinoart archery bows. The bow was on sale for only $71 but came with 35# limbs, so I took them off and got 40# limbs from Walmart on line. (You can get any pound Sinoart Falcon replacement limbs from Walmart for only $35!!!) So I have the limbs lying around, and made the riser out of Red Oak boards I bought at Lowe's.

Glad you like the string ! Hope it brings you many bullseyes 🎯🎯🎯🎯🏹 I think you should put a baseball or tennis style wrap on the grip, maybe the American 🇺🇸 style wrap would work? Love the bow and how it turned out!👍🤩🥰 Keep up your amazing work! God Bless Y’all 🙏😇❤️🇺🇸

Joe that is fantastic you did it well done brother. I’m sure you are very happy and proud, I know I Would be. Now just looking forward to the End product by Joe Daniels, a.k.a. boy gone bad. Product line of takedown super mag . God bless my good friend.

Thanks my brother! It may not be as good as a Bear Super Mag, but it also didn't cost me $450+ dollars either. 😁 I stained it yesterday with a pretty dark walnut stain, & I've got 2 coats of gloss clear coat on it tonight .. Anthony is sending me 2 nice strings he made specially for it ... Once I get them I will do a final video of the finished product! Hope all is well with you my friend! God bless ya!

@@anthonyforfare7223 48" is what I want it to be n-n. So I'm thinking it should be 48" or maybe a tad longer to give a few twists??? It's 51.25" n-n unstrung so my guess is that it should be about 48" ... I would rather it a tad long than too short and put too much strain on the limbs. Aren't strings pretty much the length you want it to be when strung up, or a tad longer? Hey did you join that archery club you went to meet up with tonight?

@@anthonyforfare7223 it's 49" from the extreme ends, but like I said on the phone, I had a lot of twists in it and I know some had untwisted when I took it off. Maybe I'll make one out of braided fishing line at 48.5" and tell you how it works out ... But I think 48.25" - 48.5" would work out perfectly with a few twists in it.
