I remember arriving from the UK and waiting hours and hours at Trinidad. Now I fly to Barbados and stay overnight or days and fly to Ogle. Works for me. Nice vlog.

Love the warmth of the Guyanese people, I’m Guyanese living in the US for over 40 years and can’t just imagine how delicious that cassava ball and stew chicken was. I’ll loved it when uncle brought you a refreshing drink to go with your meal. Love my Guyanese people

Nice to see a Guyanese family touching base with their roots. At least you still use your Guyanese creolese, that make you authentic. I am sure lots of Guyanese in the diaspora will find this video amusing and refreshing while for some it may even bring some nostalgic feelings at seeing the things and places once did take for granted...because it was common, it was the way of life, no one really took notice of. What did your kids take away from this trip to Guyana after having come from a highly developed country into third world Guyana. Did they enjoy their stay? Well, Guyanese hospitality is second to none. I would think the mosquitoes were a challenge to them. This will have an impact on their perspectives of the wider world. Many kids especially those born to Guyanese parent(s) in the diaspora have no idea what's life is like out of their country. So, it's a good learning experience for them. All the the best to you and family.

Guyana has changed in some ways for the best. I can tell you the hospitality is second to none when you find it. My family kids enjoyed the experience my kids didn't want to come back and adapted easily to the environment and questioned a lot of things.
