Russ, Appreciate your videos so much. The volume of the background music was distracting however. Your voice is fine as is. Thank you. Phil

I knew Sara Trine, her parents operated Johnson's Restaurant in Gunnison. Sara told me that the train crews would eat at the restaurant.

Where is the ridgeway museum now? I looked on google earth and maps and it’s just a empty field.

I remember preschool field trips to the caboose, and playing tag around the jail cell located near there as well. ❤️

The Gunnison Pioneer Museum is truly a gem for the city of Gunnison and the Gunnison Country. Not only are the collections and exhibits unique, authentic and fascinating, the curators and docents, mostly volunteers, who run the museum are dedicated to making the museum special. Since the 1970s, this museum has been, and continues to be one of the finest regional museums in the country.

@00:55, that locomotive and its sister #278 both touch my heart and they mean to me more than any other steam locomotive in the whole world in the bottom of my heart which means I truly deeply love them very much

What film is that first clip from which shows the K-37 departing Gunnison shot from the depot? Nice capture. Is there more of that footage around?
