Im really surprised how much better Emulation is now on intel GPUs compared to just half a year ago. It went from can't play $h!t to working pretty good as it seems. If intel keep their Driver mentality up, i my even end up buying one of their GPUs. But i still don't trust intel when it comes to drivers. In the past, they dropped GPU chipset driver support petty fast in general. Still remember their best performing iGPU's on the Broadwell lineup. It could even run Crysis. And then the intel fckers just dropped it like a brick in a month or so. And everyone had graphics glitches galore, without intel ever fixing their ffing Product! You can't insult your paying customer any harder! And since im currently in the middle of migrating from POS Windows to Linux and hopefully never look back. Intel has to proof their Linux Support on top of it.

Hello bro please help me. Im building my first pc and the gpus that fit my budget are rx 580 8gb sapphire nitro+ it has good temps and physical condition but it was used in mining, theseller is reputable and goving me 2 months refund, repair warranty but not dead warranty meaning that if the card goes dead in 2 months he wont replace it. Second option i have is rx 580 4gb the seller said it hasn't been used for mining and is cheaper than the 8 gb variant, 3rd option is the gtx 970 4gb and 4th is 1060 6gb which is also not used in mining but it is expensive a bit. So what gpu should i buy which would last me a few years like 3-4-5 years. Thank you.
@extremegraphicstech25 күн бұрын
Hi, I will give you my 100% honest opinion in this matter but at the end of the day whatever your decide is up to you. I know mining card have a bad reputation, but this doesn't have to be the case, I have used my GPUs for mining for 2 years straight during the height of it and they are all still working just fine, no issues whatsoever. None of the other cards are as good as the rx 580, the closest is the 1060 but you mention is a bit expensive. you want the card to last for 3-4-5 years, remember these are already old low end gaming gpu, so in 3, 4 or 5 years they may not even be sufficient to play new games that is the first consideration, second consideration is any of the non mining cards could also die for whatever reason, so there are no guarantees there. I am not sure how the "Dead" warranty works, if he is going to refund in case for 2 months the only reason I would return the card would be if it dies, so not sure what he is exactly covering there, I mean he should give you 2 months warranty full stop, no matter what happens to the card, because I don't see why else would you return the card. If he gives you 2 months FULL warranty, then go for it and use it A LOT during those 2 months to make sure everything es correct. If he doesn't, then save a little bit more money and buy something else or from someone else.

It's worth remembering that DLSS is using hardware that FSR is not. Because that hardware is basically free from a DLSS user's perspective, it's likely that DLSS is using many, many times as many mathematical operations per pixel than FSR is. That matters, and probably more than the AI vs. non AI approaches - it's not like AI couldn't be used to tune the weights of an FSR-like algorithm, too. I think we should temper expectations here. FSR is likely much cheaper to run in terms of math-ops-per-pixel, and as long as that remains so, it's very unlikely to completely catch up to DLSS. Another way of observing evidence for this hypothesis is by comparing the XeSS XMX vs. fallback paths - there, the usage of additional mathematical operations has a very significant quality impact, too. All those extra TOPS provided by nvidia (and intel) GPUs have value - but they also have a cost. We should not expect FSR to ever catch up, regardless of "AI", as long as that remains a difference. Perhaps a future FSR version might leverage tensor operations (whenever AMD hardware is better at those), but that's also likely to increase the cost of the hardware, at least somewhat.
@ishiddddd478311 күн бұрын
that mathematical power is used for the "AI" part, which is just int8 calculations, which is the area that radeon completely fumbles apart unless it's enabled through wmma, but since they lack silicon blocks made for int8 calculations, the gpu can do either general compute for graphics, or int8 calculations for AI separatedly, the moment they do both at the same time, it starts bleeding performance since it's using the same silicon for general compute, for AI, at the same time it's already fully utilized. It's also why they struggle so much with intensive ray tracing, they use tmu's for rt, instead of silicon blocks like nvidia and intel do.
@harounzizouАй бұрын
Because the game has ray tracing by default and that's need more cpu power , you must try other games not just avatar or any games tha'ts has ray tracing in game and you can't disable it

FSR 3.1 has some improvement over 3.0/2.2 but DLSS remains far better. What I'd like too see is how FSR 3.1 compares to XeSS 1.3. Anyway the fact that the frame gen has been decoupled from the upscaler is a win nonetheless.

I was impressed playing monster hunter world at 1440p with graphics on high anf maintaining 180 fps and the card only draws 100 watts. So the gpu hotspot hangs at around 65 degrees. Great video. Using 3700x since Jan 2020. Just upgraded my GPU from RTX 2060 to RTX 4070 in March 2024. Surely getting more than 75fps on my (75Hz) 1080p Ultra wide monitor in most games that I have played so far. Titles like metro Exodus (with RT) & A plague tale Requiem easily doing 85-100fps (max settings) But surely, there are cases of stuttering and frame drops here & there. May be, an upgrade to R7 5700x3d in future might change that. Mu Target is just 75-90fps on my 1080p ultrawide monitor where i mostly play single player games with good graphics.

@AniketMohite1988Ай бұрын
@@extremegraphicstech yes. It is indeed & pricing wise makes more sense than 5800x3d It's just that, my current setup is enough for the games I want to play, especially after my upgrade to RTX 4070. But if the future games (especially the single player AA & AAA titles) come un-optimised like what we have been seeing recently, then I might go for the upgrade.
