Die hard wizards fan here: i know you trailblazer fans wanna joke on the wizards for this move but be humble, we know he’s a great up in-coming player and unfortunately were in the beginning of this rebuild were he would hinder our future for where we want to go. So with that being said be patient with deni he’s going to get keep getting better if you give him the space to cook but if you guys fail ( as expected ) you will get more for what you gave up for him, just know the wizards were going to win to many games with him on the roster. He is the lamb for cooper which we will get mark my words.

Been watching Locked in Blazers for some time and Mike Richmond keeps saying something about the Advija trade that I think is inaccurate. In the Advija trade Mike said that the Blazers owe the middle pick from MIL (unprotected), BOS (unprotected) and the blazers own first rounder. That is not what the trade says and it is not necessarily what will happen. What they traded is their second best 1st round pick to WAS in the 2029 draft. So here’s the thing. If they get close to the 2029 draft and it looks like the blazers will make the playoffs, but MIL is bad and for some reason BOS fell apart and they are bad too. In this scenario the blazers could trade one of those picks prior to the 2029 draft and then convey their second best first round pick (their own pick) to WAS. Mike keeps talking like the blazers may potentially have to convey a good draft pick because it will be the middle pick. That ain’t it though. They have to convey their second best pick, which could be their worst pick. The only thing that has to happen is that Portland has at least 2 first round picks in 2029. Am I wrong? I think they could trade one of the picks prior to the draft and then WAS would still be able to get their second best first round pick
@LockedOnBlazers19 сағат бұрын
The pick is protected across all three teams. They can’t just trade one of the picks to try to game the system. The language of the deal is the “the second most favorable of the Portland/Milwaukee/Boston” picks. So there’s the thing…

Scoot played two years for Ignite, and played summer league last year. He's been there done that playing against fringe NBA talent. He needs to be good against the best players in the NBA. Summer league is not going to help with that. Better to use the time working on his shooting form. If he becomes a good 3 point shooter that defenses have to respect, everything else will fall into place.

@kevinedwards2067 that's what I'm saying. He didn't deserve to be drafted at 55, he certainly doesn't deserve it at 52, so it would be an even worse situation for the Lakers to keep Lebron happy and would've been the determining factor in giving Blazers the two firsts we want for Jerami.

Are there any lottery picks from last year showing up in summer league? Probably not many.
@grapeape19652 күн бұрын
LMAO wrong. Brandon Miller, picked ahead of scoot with an incredible rookie year already in the books, is on charlottes summer league roster, just to name one. Tons of good rookies and lotto picks go to summer league the summer after their first season. Really really good guys who get tons of nba minutes and proved themselves beyond a doubt, Jdub for OKC last summer, still are on the roster and play in the first game and depending on how they look play some, or all, of that game and then no more or also then all of them if they dont look as good as expected. Jdub was 2nd in ROTY, an NBA starter at a high level, and a lotto pick and was on the summer league roster and played in the first game until he was just destroying everyone and then was done (jabari smith was the 3rd pick in his draft and played multiple games in summer league last yr for the rockets as well. Cam whitemore won SL MVP last summer, had a very good rookie year and he is on the rockets roster this yr lol). Scoot was nowhere near these guys in his rookie year or in his progression or anything about his first year, and both of them were/are there. It is a joke for a healthy Scoot to not be in summer league this year, he has not played himself anywhere near being above that valuable learning experience and training opportunity. An equally as important, the coaches should be wanting to see and get data and eval on as many live ball reps with scoot, experimenting with as many player combos, lineups, and plays/styles, as possible
