He was BRILLIANT! And his album with his full band was even better.

Great to hear this live. My favorite new band in quite a long time!

This band just blows me away every time…..whether playing acoustic or electric. And that guy down front……absolutely rejoicing in the fact that all is not lost and fantastic rock music is indeed alive and well!

Fantastic four days with the Tyddyners and supporting acts; it's video clips like this that make you realise what the event is all about. (Phil Hen)

Possibly my favourite You Tube video. I didn’t know the tune or the lyric but now I’ve educated myself on those and the fishing trade specific terms. I know I’ve become more emotional with age and played on max volume with no-one else nearby, I’m blubbing every time by the end. Masterful singing with gut wrenching harmonies. Wonderful.

I think this is the Conkers gig. (A fairly horrible outdoor venue near Ashby in the UK). Swarb did a lovely set, then Richard came and joined him for a couple of songs, which were great. An intermission, then Richard came back for his solo set and the energy level skyrocketed, as if The Who had shown up.

I know I’m 11 years late on this, but the New Scorpion Band definitely deserves more attention. I learned about them after finding out that some of the band’s music was used in SpongeBob. In fact, the man on the far left, Robert White, did the Rake Hornpipe.

What's the best way to play the bodhran? With a pen knife. Fuck sake that guitar is useless as well. Annoying racket.

I've seen you in the BBC historic farms series, and I love the music you make! I really like the instruments you play. The concertina is a favorite! Jeepers. I can play the harmonica, but it'll never sound as good as any acordioned instrument. Shucks. This is wonderful! Thank you for sharing!

WOW! I wish this wasn’t still topical. It’s a sad reality that society hasn’t moved that far from this mindset. Sexism and misogyny are alive and well. The fight for equal pay and equal rights, goes on. I’m sending this to my daughter. A punk musician, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, who STILL has to complete for recognition as a PERSON, not “good, for a girl”. A bit disheartening.
