If you are talking about very first part on the back & you see one long piece hanging, That is the first section of the hair to cut. It was sectioned already so it looks just hanging but that is the section you will start to cut! Hopefully it answered your question.

@omgzzzitstayler Side of the hair to over direct to the back guide creates back shorter front longer A-Line style. It automatically creates both side come out even also easy to make beautiful style.

Thank you for uploading this. I'm thinking about trimming my hair tomorrow by myself, and I have razorcut layers. Didn't know how to trim those by myself when it comes to angle and technique. This will make it easier.
