I loved The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter. I also read another of her books and liked it. I picked up Pretty Girls...just as an fyi, it is super graphic and not like her other books I read. I suggest checking trigger warnings before starting, I felt gross for reading it honestly.

Oh my god Jaime I've been waiting so long for someone to mention the issue of using a real life crime case in Penance! I Dnfed the book as soon as I realised the author was using extremely specific details taken straight from the real life case of Shanda Sharer. It just does not sit right with me. The book is supposed to be a commentary on how exploitative the true crime genre can be but then exploits the details of Shanda's murder for shock value? Like, it's not as if some of the details were a little similar, it's that the author used details that were SO specific to Shanda that it literally could not have been referencing anything else. And there's no mention in the afterword that she reached out to Shanda's family to check if it was okay to write this or anything like that so it really really bothered me and you're the first one I've actually heard mention this so thank you for that! ❤

I haven't read Caravel yet either but I also loved the OUABH series 🥰 I'd love to see Archer's Voice in a reading vlog! It's one of my few 5 star reads. For me with both Icebreaker/Wildfire and Secretly Yours/Unfortunately Yours I didn't like the first, but the second one in their respective series is SO much better as the world is already built and the romances felt more developed.

Finish a series vlog might be a good idea, there was a few books that you haven't read that are the final book in the series so it will help complete some of your series :)
