Just know that if you use Epoxy Resin it will not release the binding compound used in strand matt. It is best suited for cloth, Biaxial weave, etc.

50 HP Evinrude Etec powers my 25 Foot Eduardono Panga and top speed is 24 knots at slack tide. 9 Gallon fuel tank is enough gas for 4 full day fishing trips here in Long Island bays going at least 17 miles a trip, starting and stopping doing multiple drifts for Fluke. Check out my 25 Eduardono Panga boat Videos here on You Tube. - Nice Green Panga. Tiller steer in the back.

The outer nut absolutely does need to be tight. Off the top of my head it needs to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 180-200 ft/lbs. Don’t reuse the tang washer. They’re dirt cheap and the tangs break off easily after being bent back and forth from being used multiple times. Not worth it You have to set the preload on the bearings when you tighten the inner nut back down. The way you did it, off you did get it completely seated, it’s way too tight and will generate a lot of extra heat causing the bearings to swell and push out your seal or worse, push on your compromised tang washer and back the nuts off. But it’s more likely you didn’t get it seated completely meaning there will be way too much end play in your hub. The proper way to do it would be spin the hub as you are tightening the first nut. Every time you spin it you’ll notice the nut will be able to tighten another 1/4 turn or so. This is seating the bearings. Once the wheel won’t spin any more and the nut is tight (~200 ft/lbs if i remember right), you’ll back it off like 2-3 turns. Then, without spinning the hub, tighten it down hand tight, then 90* more (1/4 turn). Then install your NEW tang washer and bend 2-3 tabs. Then tighten the outer nut to roughly 180-200 ft/lbs. Then bend 2-3 more tangs out and install the cap

This set up tows easily, any of those choices are good. I have an old chevy and it has no problem. Of course a lot of newer trucks have low gearing differential for full economy, i believe a 3:42 or higher would be a better choice.

I, too, need to fill a bunch of old screw holes in the deck of my boat. Could you please specify the exact description and brand of the "silica", "glass fibers" and resin that you used, and also your recipe for mixing these components. Thanks!
@dondoesitАй бұрын
Any fiberglass supply will have exactly what you need. Polyester resin, the glass fibers are just chopped fiberglass cloth, 1/4'' chop is most common and the silica as a thickener. If you have no wood just about any marine filler will work fine, but if there is wood you'll want your mixture just thin enough for the resin to soak out into the wood, that will seal the wood from future rot.

Hey buddy thanks for the video, I'm getting ready to install one of these. So you just left the wires coming from the existing lanyard kill switch unplugged and you didn't have any issues with the motor not starting?
