Hello! Thank u for the tutorial. I see than clay around the stones doesn’t crack despite the shrinkage. I suppose that is because the stones are small. But what about bigger stones -4-6mm? I have a problem: bronze always cracks 😢

Thank you for your feedback! Yes you can use bigger stones from 4-6mm. What clay do you use? 😊

Amazing work just curious when you fire the ring does the process leave porosity small holes on the surface?
@metalclay-silberladen-at5 күн бұрын
Thank you for your kind words! Yes, when you fire a ring made from silver clay, the process can indeed leave small holes or porosity on the surface. This is because silver clay is a sinter product. During firing, the tiny silver particles in the clay fuse together, but this can sometimes result in microscopic gaps between the particles, leading to a slightly porous surface. This is a normal characteristic of sintered metals, including silver clay.

@metalclay-silberladen-at8 күн бұрын

How come the area where the sulphur was is blue, not black? I would love to try it.
@metalclay-silberladen-atАй бұрын
This depends on how long you immerse your piece of jewelry, the concentration of the sulfur, and the temperature of the mixture. It is a bit of a gamble. You never get the same result; each piece is unique.

Hello! Thank you for the video! I was trying to do something similar but after the cook 3.5 hours at 760 degrees the result was melting😢. Any ideas of what is going wrong? The pieces were more thin than the example, maybe it need less temperature o less time? I apreciate your feedback.
@metalclay-silberladen-at2 ай бұрын
Thank you very much for your feedback. We suspect that the oven may have exceeded the desired temperature during heating. Please monitor it next time. Especially when the piece of jewelry is very thin, such temperature spikes can be enough to melt it. 760°C is the maximum temperature that should not be exceeded. Perhaps try 750°C next time. It can also vary depending on the copper or silver content and whether the piece is well covered with activated charcoal. We hope we could assist you further. Greetings ☺
