Woahh!! AC opened a can of whop ass! I wasnt sure if you were channeling your inner John Cleese but this had all the makings of a Mr. Fawlty rant 😆. Loved it! Sadly what you are noticing proliferates across other industries as well...the only exception I can think of is Test cricket which has gotten oddly better with time after brushing with antiquity. This is my favourite genre AC, classic perfumery that is so complex that even with the watered down versions of today, I rather smell them....abiet only for couple of hrs. Cant wait for the rest of the episodes! Im gona be at the edge of my seat waiting...hoping you cover more from my collection.

I second the perspectives and opinions you shared in the video AC; also support the message, the idea and the intention behind it. Maybe because I hold the same opinion like yours or because I have multiple bottles of every single fragrance you listed in the video! Regardless, thoroughly enjoyed watching your video. Waiting for the next part.

Thank you for this video. As I'm watching it, I'm wearing a vintage fragrance that was created by Raymond Chaillan! It's called Monsieur Carven and its incredibly beautiful. I would highly recommend it if you don't know it already.

Thanks for a great video. I love classic fragrances. Aside from Guerlain I'm a fan of Acqua di Parma's Colonia and Chanel pour Homme.

My top are Guerlain Habit Rouge, Heritage, Vetiver, Le Frenchy, Derby, L'Instant EDP, Jicky, Mitsouko, L'heure Bleue EDP, Vol De Nuit, Shalimar, Eau De Guerlain & Homme. And Acqua Di Parma Colonia...... Phew, it's pretty hard to beat Guerlain, but Colonia fits in there somewhere!

Hello A.C. The first thing I have to tell you is that I am fascinated by your mastery and passion when describing fragrances. Havana is one of my favorite creations, unique in its genre, practically indescribable and a masterpiece of elegant, leading and masculine fragrance in every way. Boucheron pour homme is another marvel that I would describe as a sublime shaving foam with a spicy touch of class. Habit rouge is a fragrance that fascinates me because I have not finished discovering it, it has a projection of distinction and high class that is almost unmatched, without wanting to be classist, I come from a middle class background, that is what this fragrance inspires in me. I would like you to analyze Esencia pour Homme Loewe and Quorum Puig, two classic fragrances from these Spanish brands that seem masterful to me and are rarely analyzed outside of Spain. A hug.

Amazing video AC,I can hear you for hours and hours. Let me share a story about Heritage. The first time I smell Heritage, it unlocked a memory in my mind, and I was immediately transported to a very specific time in my childhood, in the early 90’s.A very early memory, I was probably around 3 years old and I was in my doctors office. The doctor must had a patchouli based fragrance and that scent memory was saved in some deep part of my brain. What magical and emotional moment it was. I cannot be without heritage, and it’s probably my favorite fragrance.

It’s so clear how much you genuinely love these scents and this is refreshing to see. Also I love that you’re giving credit to the perfumers- they really are amazing artists and it feels like brands sign their works a lot of the time. Imagine that happened with paintings!

Hi AC I appreciate these kinds of reviews as a long time wearer of Jaipur. Do you have an opinion on some old style Van Cleef and Arpel fragrances Tsar, Pour Homme and In New York I have an opportunity to pick them up.

Thank you Don. I do not have Tsar and pH in my collection, but I have sampled them before, pick them up if you get a chance, they won't disappoint and if they did you could always sell them on as they do not lose value. If anything they will gain in value.

Great, GREAT video! One of my favorites is eau sauvage edt from Dior. I had the pleasure of getting a 10ml decant of a vintage 80s bottle and the scent is just magnificent. Sadly the newer formulations are just a shell of what it once was. But still a fantastic scent regardless, in my opinion. A couple scents in this list I’m eager to still get my nose on. Thanks for another video!

Wow mate an incredible video.... especially in the sea of top 10 lists... panty droppers list etc...this video has depth like most of the fragrance reviewed.. although I some times struggle to like some vintage fragrances..I tried a few on your list and absolutely love them...both boucheron s and Cartier pasha I like a lot..I did tried Havana a few years back and found it was somewhat challenging for me at the time but will have to re visit again.. great video looking forward to the next one👊🏼👊🏼 cheers

Perfectly narated as always Sir, sad to learn the orchid in the background has served it’s duty :) May I kindly ask for your advice: there is opportunity to acquire either Guerlain Vetiver (2017 batch) or L’instant de Guerlain EDT (2022 batch). Which one would be a better choice (in terms of smell and value)
@SmellsGoodfragrancereviews
@SmellsGoodfragrancereviews 8 сағат бұрын
Haha the orchid has been moved to a more sunnier spot as the days are getting shorter my friend. If I remember correctly, you live in Indonesia, so for your kind of weather the Guerlain Vetiver would suit better although L'Instant is more interesting.

I had forgotten how much I enjoyed Boucheron Pour Homme in the early 90's until this video. Thank you for the memories. That said, when you hit the Amouage for the final one the American in me was what the hell? I forget there were other places in the 80's that had a different scent but the manly scent of America in the 80's was and will forever be Polo. Not the week thing it is now but the original Polo for 1979 in all its powerhouse glory. I can't wait for more vintage videos where I know you will bring up Polo and probably Eau Sauvage too. Carry on my friend.
