If done with anesthesia and proper care it's a quite mild procedure for the healthy dog (especially Cane Corso, since they have a much higher pain threshold than average dogs). But of course, it is not a mandatory procedure.

not one dog is born to be a perfect companion, Cane Corso isn't an exception. This breed requires a lot of work to put into before it'll show all its beauty (plus they mature slowly)..and of course, every dog is an individual, some need more attention. Generally speaking, destructiveness is often a sign that she has excessive energy, overprotectiveness shows the lack of socialization, and dumbness may be messed up with the stubbornness (the lack of proper leadership). Anyway, I suggest you find a professional trainer (which I am not) and work on it. Good luck!
