It is far from pointless, there are differences of its use though. -In general, If you just Jump and side-flip it’s minimal gain outside of maintaining your position to keep drifting the same line, this is very useful when you want to maintain your drift the same direction longer without hitting the wall. There are some parts of these maps that doing this is more efficient than chain drifting on a slightly curved road. -If you drift off of an edge and then side-flip it does make a slightly bigger difference. -If you turbo first before side-flipping it makes a pretty noticeable difference vs without. -Now technically The most noticeable gain from side-flip refers to a hidden mechanic called “Slingshot”. This is done by drifting upside-down and immediately doing the side-flip input (opposite direction) the moment you drift off the edge. If you turbo just before doing it the thrust forward can be quite tremendous. This takes practice to get used to but this is most commonly used on ‘Curvey Canyon 2’ where the boosters are on the ceiling tunnel near the end.

With the camera stuck in the angle that it is. It’s basically a leap of faith

There’s its flaws in this system but when comparing them to before the rank reset, I find it better overall.

I agree we need an actual casual mode. It should be its own separate playlist with every single map and maybe add the possibility to vote on the map you want.

Yeah we need actual casual play for players who just want to relax when playing the game. And multiple back to back races before going back to the lobby wouldn’t be a bad idea as well. More time would be spent in the game than the lobby

@@AverageBum Exactly, and that is without mentioning alternate modes like deathrace, rumble... And expanding racing mechanics, like spending all three boost bars at the same time for a mega boost, being able to demo other racers, airrolling actually doing something, you get the point Also the rubber banding is too strong in this game, you could play incredibly well, use all your boost and get in first, and in 0,5 seconds everyone else is overtaking you without using boost, it too unbalanced and punishes you for playing well.

Also more track gimmicks, boost zones that fill you boost gauge when you drive through them, crushers that stomp you, fire traps, spinners, you name it, just more interesting stuff than shitty looking red blocks that stick out like a sore thumb

It’s not the same short… I guess any short posted on the same map with the same route but with a different theme is considered the same. But I guess I’m “greedy for views” for posting a short taken place on the same map as another short. Notice the difference before posting a comment that’s just going to embarrass yourself.

How ranked works, is that it takes what rank you ended with prior to the update and then gives you a rank based off that. For example, every unreal player from before the update got diamond 1 after the ranks got reset
