Okay I'm just a girl from france, started knitting and crocheting recently, and I just had to pause on the price of yarn... Please don't tell me it's 15$ for a ball of yarn? TwT

You should try going to memo arthouse for yarn ! They have a good variety of yarn and most of them are pretty affordable:)

The blanket looks really good! U did a great job as a beginner. 29:21 u did not do anything wrong it's just beginners tend to not have proper tension so what I would tell u is instead of bringing the yarn from ur hook to do the yarn over and then u go through the loop,make ur hook go through your yarn by holding it in your pointer finger.

You should look up videos on how to hold onto the yarn for crochet. Hold onto the project and yarn with your left hand. The right hand holds just the hook. This will give the tension you need between yarn and hook as you pull away.

hey! the blanket looks so cool i love the colours so much!! just 2 little tips: 1) to help with the question you asked about using your fingers to yarn over- i’d suggest watching some youtube videos on how to improve your tension, those helped me so much with stopping to use my fingers to yarn over 2) when crocheting the first chain at the very beginning, i saw that it’s very tight- i would suggest making the chains at the beginning a bit more loose cause then as you go along with your project you won’t have the amount of pulling in your work! hope that helps at all! 💞

You needed to use a 7mm hook so it doesn’t curl up and your got a straight line for your blanket

I am not an expert myself, but i think that if you learn to hold the hook like a pencil, you will be able to crochet faster. I used to hold the hook like you and my grandma saw me and told me i would be able to crochet faster if i held it like a pencil. It worked for me personally. The knife way also makes you do bigger movements and the hand can get tired more easily. I could be wrong though. I really love how the blanket is coming out by the way!

You have amazing taste for yarn !! Love how it turned out too <333 I recommend the youtubers 'TL Yarn Crafts' and 'Bella Coco' they have really slow and in-depth videos to learn your basic beginner stitches!! All the support to you x

I love the velvet yarn you're using but you should actually learn how to handle the yarn on your left hand so that way you won't need to use your finger and it will take really less time!!! :> I'm subscribing because I really enjoyed your videooo

Hello im in Tulsa, Oklahoma, in U.S. and I just wanted to compliment you on how well you've done your videos. I found you thru your crochet. And I do hope you continue with it. You seem to have natural gift. Since beginners having stitches look the same is the difficult part.I'm looking forward to seeing more adventures. Hope your day is well

I just finished four hrs of fighting with a project that would have been so much easier had I chosen different yarn. I finally decided I have to go to bed. I started your video as I was transitioning to go to bed. I could instantly feel your pain. Glad Day 2 went better than your first night. You picked out some beautiful colors. I can’t stay up to see the final product but good luck!

I just started crocheting in March and it has been a great summer hobby. I didn't think I would be able to learn it but I used a crochet kit called "The Woobles" I highly recommend as they properly teach every stitch and the correct way to crochet which will make the process so much easier! If you aren't able to get the kit they also have a pretty helpful youtube channel! Good luck :)

As a beginner myself, my advice for you is when watching a KZfaq video tutorial ... remember to slow the speed of the video to 0.75 or slower as it makes it so much easier to learn ❤❤

You’re doing a great job, the blanket looks like it’ll be beautiful. My question is how are you tensioning the yarn? I’m right-handed and use my left to hold the project and tension the yarn with my fingers.
@jenniferjasso594729 күн бұрын
When you first learn to crochet you try and learn using other peoples techniques on how to handle the hook and yarn. the more you crochet the more you are going to naturally relax and not hold the hook so tightly and you will be able to manipulate the hook and yarn to work the way you need it to. There really is no wrong or right way. practice makes perfect , just relax and take your time

Your hook has to be facing down but every in thing else looks great
@Noah_MaerАй бұрын
Besides the tip about rotating ur hook so it points downwards when pulling through the loops (like other ppl already mentioned), I'd also look into ways of how to hold your working yarn. I personally could not crochet with not holding the working yarn with my left hand (I have it go between my pinky and ring finger from the back, then wrap it around my index finger twice, but there are many ways to do it), because doing that makes the yarn have some tension and so it wont slip off your hook easily or go wherever 😅 I feel like I have more control like this.

Great work! The color choices look so nice together. To prevent having to use your fingers when pulling through the loops, try turning your hook so that the "nose" is facing down toward your work and not up! It will help prevent your yarn from slipping off/needing to hold it with your fingers. :)
@EvieHeffnerАй бұрын
This and also it may just be the angle but the hook tip looks too circular for my preference. Maybe try a different hook/hook brand as well?

Hello, I learn how to crochet almost 3 years now, I’m not a pro still continue learning. I just started my own KZfaq channel last few months and Yes… I love Crochet ❤️ and love to go to Spotlight at Plaza Sing as well. So happy to found your video and I subscribe to your channel. Happy Crochet 😊

this looks so good especially as a beginner!! 🫶🏻 i think the main issue that you’re having regarding having to use your fingers to complete the stitch is that your hook is facing upwards. you have the right technique to pull through the stitch with just the hook when you first go into the stitch and grab the yarn and pull through to have three loops on your hook for your half double crochet (if that makes sense?😅). when you complete your stitch to make your half double crochet, after you yarn over, twist your hook so that it is facing downwards instead of up and make sure that your working yarn is on your hook. you almost have it towards the end, you just need to twist your hook a little more so that you actually grab onto your working yarn! 🧶 i hope that helped a little. i was trying to explain it as best i could without video 😅 your blanket looks amazing so far though!!
