This is just my opinion, but this just kind of showed what I thought to be the downfall of popular rock. After the mid 2000s all the way up to now there was only a few songs I enjoyed. And that’s just what I’ve noticed. All the big rock just isn’t good anymore. But that isn’t to say the genre has stagnated. I’ve heard plenty of indie bands and foreign bands continue to make good rock that just doesn’t find a big audience.

It was really surprising for me to hear probably the first fifth of this video as "rock" because when I think of rock, I think of the type of rock that started appearing in the 70s and 80s and onward. the rock that that shown in the 50s and early 60s doesn't sound like rock at ALL to me, but there were a couple of moments during the mid to late sixties that made me think I could hear the beginnings of what I associate rock to sound like (granted, this is probably because the rock I grew up listening to and continue to listen to have been from the 70s and onward. This is supported by the fact after 1970's track, I could name almost every single song and artist after that lmao) also, I had no clue the Beatles were rock. That is just... insane to me.

Got 56 right, did better than o thought in the 2010s era. Helps that most of the popular bands now are the same from 10 to 40 years ago seemingly
