12/30 1668 m.
@Astro_Aladfar3 күн бұрын
I looked it up, Stockholm Bromma airport's runway length is only 1668 m (5472 ft). From the video the Avro took off after rolling for about 2/3rd to 3/4 of the runway length, which translates to a takeoff distance of just 1100-1250 m (3650-4100 ft). That is an impressively short takeoff distance!
@AirClipscomКүн бұрын
Thank you for the information! The takeoff was really short because of the powerful engine thrust delivered by the aircraft. Really stunning how much power still is in this beast :)

« All by hand » : probably not what comes to mind first when landing an Airbus with Autothrust.
True for that time this plane was able to combined power with range, awesome development for aviation:)

Siempre sorprendentes los aviones soviéticos. Parecen poco dóciles, pero de muy buenas performances. Ver pasar por debajo a la cabecera opuesta (si bien desplazada) me hizo correr escalofríos por la espalda.
