Note that this is Cura 1.15.04, rather than any of the Cura 2.x versions.

Heloo Sir from 3 years ago. I can confirm that the new Cura is not as idiot-proof but the devil is still only in the gap between the support and "object lines" which that old Cura thing had properly "pre-set". The new one is easy to tweak. Still my favorite slicer.

Hi, sorry, after all those years I do not remember what the settings were. But very close to defaults and something like 0.33/0.2mm ext. width/height.

Super cool. i am learning cura support setting now . can u please share the setting ? i have bad support and either hard to remove or really soft and not supporting.... also when remove , it damaged the bottom base of the model.

Clement Chu hi. This was actually the default. I do think that the vertical gap that can be configured is the key to success...

Thats crazy. Supports on all my prints sliced in Cura were impossible to remove without breaking the model on default settings. I tried customizing support settings and am printing now, hoping they'll be a lot easier to remove.

customize your model walls to be thicker. that way the structure will be hard enough for the supports not to damage it.
