Mindful self-care is critical, and yet it can be so easy to overlook as part of our daily routine. Self-care helps us to shift our baseline in the direction of better awareness of ourselves and others. Thank you for this reminder!

As an early childhood educator who supports parents and you g children…. The practice of mindfulness has been invaluable to my work. Life with young children is full of energy that requires an ability to reflect and make good choices…. To be a mirror for the young child to reflect. I love that CBI is sharing this practice with educators! Hope for the future!

We always judge ourselves, that it's no peace... be gentle w ourselves, calm and take time to hear our emotions and our body ... know that everybody make mistakes but we can do better if we are present feeling ourselves!

This is such a valuable message! As educators, we understand the importance of teaching our students to embrace and learn from their mistakes, but it can be difficult to put this into practice. Mindfulness helps us create safe spaces where we can reflect on our mistakes without judgement and make choices from a place of self-compassion. Thank you!

Our lives are made up of many teams; both large and small, professionally, and personally. If we don’t understand ourselves and ask ourselves the hard questions, how can we expect to know where we fit in the team, and what we need from the others? If we ignore the fact that we need to stop and put our own oxygen mask on so that we can help everyone else out instead, supporting the others with no mask will only get us so far.

The reminder that we will never be perfect or do everything the "right" way is so valuable. To have a practice so you can remember to breathe when in a stressful situation, and to have the kiddos see you do that ... to model it is everything. A regular practice really helps you to remember that you have that power within you ... and you can transfer that to you kids. This is invaluable.

I think one of the most powerful demonstrations to use with kiddos is the cloudy bottle. They really get it concretely and it helps them to connect.

I taught Mindfulness at the school I worked in for a couple of years and saw first hand how powerful it was for so many kids. I had a parent who initially asked me to exclude their daughter from the sessions because the parents thought it was against thier religious beliefs. I convinced that parents to come in and look at my mindfulness curriculum, they granted me that and once they saw what I was teaching allowed their cild to participate.i encouraged my kids to share their practice with their families and those who did said their parents sat with them at home..

It starts with little examples like ones presented in this classroom . It’s being aware , being present , just being ! I love exposing kids to this way of being ! Starting young can do so much for planting seeds of mindful learning !!

I can't wait to show this video to my daughter. We meditate at bedtime but when I try to encourage deep breathing at times when she is upset or worried, she refuses. I think watching this video and the other older kids do it will help motivate her to do so, too. Thank you!

As a 60yo who's interested in learning about Mindfulness, it was awesome to see youngsters being taught. They all seemed very engaged and wanted to learn more. I actually watched the video twice. 5:39 Kudos to you!
