How many times do you recommend I need to give it to my goat?
@BoisDArcKikos10 сағат бұрын
We only do it as needed
@gatoraviation958813 сағат бұрын
I use 6 ft security and cattle panels with round pole post corners and T-post supports between. they still knock it down. I am adding an electric fence. hopefully, it will work. I viewed your electric fence video. and I am going that route. keeps my poultry and ducks in too. moving to my new farm in 2 weeks.
@BoisDArcKikos13 сағат бұрын
Electric fence will work just make sure you get a good charger. We use cyclopse.

I have a bin just like this with the same "Long" sign. The roof was a pistol to assemble. The ground was a little unlevel. Can you tell me what size chain and the type of fasteners you used on the anchor points in the crown? I can't really tell from the video.
@BoisDArcKikosКүн бұрын
Anchors came from a place in Kansas where they make the grain bins.
@whatdidyousay2meКүн бұрын
@@BoisDArcKikos Do you have any info or links for the place in Kansas?
@whatdidyousay2meКүн бұрын
@@BoisDArcKikos I think I may have said that wrong. I'm not talking about the footing anchors. I'm talking about how you attached your chains to the crown of the bin to lift it with the crane. What weight of chain did you use and how did you attach it to the crown of the bin?
@BoisDArcKikosКүн бұрын
@whatdidyousay2me the place is in Peabody Kansas where they have all the grain bin parts you would need. I helped a friend who install these put this up.

We raised Kikos quite a few years ago. How many goats do you have? How many acres? And what is the net profit. We are thinking of raising goats and want to be able to sell around 500 a year.
@BoisDArcKikos8 күн бұрын
We have around 60 nannies and after buying feed/hay during the year we always make a profit with our goats. We sell registered & commercial stock so price varies. We take our bucklings to the meat market every year & that covers our annual feed/hay bill. We sale off the farm for reproduction females and a few potential herdsires. We run our goats on 70acres.

Is. there any way to clear. with goats with no fence? I can't even get a temp electric one bc brush so. thick

No fence and they will roam once they eat through a clearing. You could let them graze it for a few hrs a day then pen them.

@TallCFarmsАй бұрын
@@BoisDArcKikos Now I'm really curious. How do you know which one is a lead doe? I've only got 4 adult does and one 6 month doeling. My oldest is a bit of a bully, but she came from a place where every goat was tied up for feeding, so having free range for feeding has turned her into a bit of a bully. (funny that the 6 month old is mostly immune to her bullying, where the others get the heck out of her way)
