What is the inside "liner" made of? I have a lamp shade that has the "spider fitter" unattached and need to glue it back to the "liner" which looks like a type of plastic. Not sure what type of glue to use.

We have had the Metra floor lamps (2) and a tabletop lamp and we love them. Unfortunately, the dimmer/power switch has failed twice and I'm taking the lamp back to the retailer so they can replace it again. Is this a common issue? Again, we love the lamps!!!
