I'm currently watching Gintama, I'm 200 eps in (Ik it's mainly a comedy but m havin lot of fun with it). after that i'll watch Yu Yu Hakusho then Rurouni Kenshin. it's just kinda hard for me to find time for these long anime series, cause not only i'm a seasonal anime watcher and i have to keep up with what's coming out but I also watch movies and shows etc.. but thanks for the recommendations

@@The_EverythingYT I have heard Gintama is great, watch Kenichi, I forgot Full Metal Alchemist which you mentioned in the video it is great in the same way Hunter x Hunter is I must say not all shonen manga are built the same, some are more fight oriented like YuYu Hakusho, Dragon Ball, or Jujutsu Kaisen while others have more slice of life things added to it like Naruto, Bleach, Inuyasha, but the best ones are the adventure shonen, which One Piece is, this is why Magi is so great as well, I am telling you give Magi a try the pace is much better than One Piece it is not as great story wise but it is still an enjoyable watch, and after watching Magi watch Made in Abyss

@@hr-g4640 i have watched made in abyss and FMA brotherhood, both are great shows. like i said, usually the pacing is what keeps me away from these long anime series. Slow pacing was normal back in the days, cause all those long shows air weekly with no season breaks or anything. I'll keep Magi in mind. i have to check it out.

@@The_EverythingYT Magi is probably my favorite anime of all time, even more than One Piece, it had so much potential, sadly the mangaka didn't know how to handle such a rich world and story and ended it without really exploring everything the world had to give, this is probably why One Piece is so unique, most mangakas don't want to stay writing and drawing the same manga for over 30 years

Hunter x Hunter is great tho and you are a simpleton if you didn't like it because it is the only series on par with One Piece, Naruto is also amazing it is the anime that got me into anime but everything becomes trash after the Killer Bee vs the shark guy fight, the war arc is the lowest point of the anime and manga which is really bad because it is the final arc but everything before that is simply amazing, I still remember the Akatsuki reveal and how difficult it was to defeat them, the pain arc which is one of the best arcs in manga and anime except Pierrot animated it like shit

about hunter x hunter, I might enjoy it more upon a rewatch. I was hyped af to watch it, it has 9 on IMDB and on MAL so i tought it would be an AOT level anime (story-wise). But i didnt enjoy the first few arcs. it was only during the Yorknew City arc (my favorite arc btw) that I truly got into it. but the next arc "Greed Island arc" was a huge turn off for me cause i can't handle card games. Then, during the Chimera Ant arc, we all know how it began. While that arc had lot of great moments, the beginning felt weak. and as for Naruto, i've only watched the first one. I still haven't started Shippuden.

I appreciate your dislike and comment, but I'd like to clarify my point. In this video, I'm not dismissing other long-running anime/manga series. I'm just highlighting how One Piece maintained it's popularity over the years. keep in mind that it's a weekly anime/manga. it is a rare thing to happen (for weekly ones). And regarding the quality of the story, I completely agree that there are many exceptional Anime/manga out there. believe or not, One Piece isn't even my fav anime . I just wanted to make a video about it. just because someone made a video about a show or smtn, doesn't mean it's the only thing they watched/read. ps: I'm an anime-only, i don't read manga, only one i've read is jojo part 6 & 7 (after finishing the anime ofc). But as an anime fan, i have some knowldge about the manga world.

I guess this is more of a gut feeling than anything but after seeing so many people claim that there will never be a show like One Piece again, I just wanna clear some doubts. There will be one, and not only will it eventually match the level of One Piece, it will *exceed* One Piece. It's been in the works for about a year now and every time something new is added to the world, this story surpasses all past expectations. I'm not sure if it will be an industry giant like One Piece was, or if it will even be popular at all, but the story itself will exceed One Piece twice over. My best guess for a release date is around 2029 but those practice mangas that I have half-planned out might push it back a bit further. Either way, you can't even *fathom* the storm that's brewing.
@The_EverythingYT
@The_EverythingYT Күн бұрын
Well wtv it is it might be a great story.. and m pretty sure there are other great stories right now, some might argue even better than One Piece. But the argument m making here is not about the story alone, it's a bout a show that's been running for 25 years, and only kept getting popular over time with no quality drop. That's a hard thing to replicate. One Piece is an exception.

@@The_EverythingYT Fair point. I don't really know how much people will like it (so far it seems very positive but it's always just been small snippets of the world so it's not reliable enough to judge fairly) or if it will have that growing-in-popularity aspect to it but I guess that's for the future to decide. Of course though, we are the ones that decide our future so maybe after the passing of another couple decades, you might find yourself making another video just like this one here. Who knows, maybe somebody new will stumble upon your next video and enter the comment section claiming to bear the torch of the next generation.

I wish more would just stop and watch One piece open minded and stop comparing it to other animes and saying "Where is the filler episodes?". Just watch what it was like the ones before them, even filler episodes on One piece can be enjoyable to watch in my opinion. Stop comparing luffy with other power ups from different anime and just enjoy the show like a little kid.

Saul got the redemptive but tragic ending that Walt didn’t get or deserve. I loved that dynamic though of the contrasting character arcs toward the end. We start BB with Walt breaking bad and descending where Jimmy starts bad and descends down badness and breaks to good. Vince is victory lapping with everything he learned prior so of course it will always be in some ways better and tighter but it never feels like it’s competing with BB anyways. They perfectly compliment each other.

A lot of the really bad adaptations were made by Uwe Boll, who intentionally made them so bad they couldn't possibly succeed as part of a tax avoidance scheme. This resulted in a feedback loop of video game adaptations not being taken seriously and thus given to the likes of Boll to produce.
