Washing up liquid is a decent release if ever stuck, I don't envy you laying those 3x2 flags, I've just ripped a load up for my son, my back a few days later was agony 😂 he conveniently disappeared 😂 I'm intrigued as to how good the heat pump works, I'm a tad sceptical. 👍

Hi Geoff, I've not commented on your video's for a while, been busy, but as always I enjoyed all of them, you seem to be making good progress, and doing things in the correct order, I was shouting at the screen when you forgot to put the stiffeners in the water pipe, you had just explained it, and you still forgot😂 these things happen. On a side note, I have now purchased myself, an electric bike, and I'm really looking forward to exploring the countryside, so thanks for the inspiration 👍.

The stiffener situation, well, we've all done similar 😂 I recently laid a small concrete pad, I've used the fibreglass fibres, Amazon purchase, getting hold of any rebar locally wasn't possible, so I'll see how it goes, only occasional foot traffic anyway. I look forward to the next episode. 👍

Great explanation of boning rods. It’s been many years since I’ve used them, but I’ve definitely covered some distance with them. Many miles of watering systems on golf courses, we would plumb the upright to make sure there was no tilt. Roman technology at its finest. I think modern lasers are making the boning rod a lost art.

Evening Mark. I have some ordinary bikes but because of where I live, I am always buggered before I've gone anywhere because of the hills. My size and weight doesn't help either. Having an e-bike has been like a time machine for me and given me my youth back. It can still be hard work peddling but it's the range and the distance you can go and it is fantastic. It is a shame you're not near me, otherwise you could've had a go.

Evening John. They are 21 is to do with the motor or the connection to the motor. I did think I had fixed the problem but I hadn't. Upon discussions with the factory we believe it is possibly the pedal sensor. I need to get a crank puller so I can get to it just to make sure, that all the connections to it are solid and good. I removed the plastic trim where the controller is down by the pedals and everything looks clean and dry and in good condition inside. The factory have been good with me and given me a discount as the pedal centre is out of warranty but I think they have been very fair and I appreciate that. My Ranger has done about 1300 miles but I haven't written it for months due to building the bungalow. I will do an update on my bike just to let everybody else know on the forum that I have been able to sort it out once and for all. thank you for such a great comment and the questions too. I really enjoy comments like this.

Another interesting instalment Geoff. I’ve learned two things- preparation and working out is the key for everything to be problem free and to ensure a good job. Secondly, Scarborough is the place for fish and chips lol. Cheers
@geoffcarol1
@geoffcarol1 Ай бұрын
Evening Tony. What a great comment. Firstly, the best place for fish and chips in Scarborough is a chip shop called small fry. I have been going to the same chip shop for 30 years. You are right about preparation. I think if you don't prepare and think things through, a in a timely and methodical fashion then you either are not prepared or things go wrong because you are perhaps panicking. To me there's a big difference in not preparing or thinking about something and getting it wrong and preparing and thinking about it and getting it wrong. Everybody makes mistakes and get things wrong, but to me you just have to minimise the chances of that happening to enable you to go smoothly. Some people have said I fuss too much at times but I just like to try my best and have things right as best as I can do it. Another big thing to have a good job is to work cleanly. It takes me no time at all every day to clean up because I always keep it clean.
@tonywhite5033
@tonywhite5033 Ай бұрын
@@geoffcarol1 yep you are right. Preparation is the key to anything really. Just didn’t realise just how much preparation goes into what you are doing. As for keeping things clean and tidy, i cannot agree with you more. A messy worker does messy work, plus the safety aspect as well.

In your situation I'm sure they will be fine, I have tried lifting 600x600 lids with block paving that had been wackered over, the lids wouldn't move. we had to use screwdrivers and bars to lift them and eventually replaced with key types. It was a commercial site, the lids had been driven over with scissor lifts and other heavy equipment. Once they snap I don't think it can be replaced.

Your comment has really made my day today and I thank you for that. Your other comment made me laugh, degree in maths. If I don't have a calculator, I am stuck and I would struggle to do basic sums in my head.
