I am a t3, t4, incomplete. Most of the time when I sweat, I only sweat in the left side of my body. It's kinda funny, except when it is really hot and I need to be sweating on both sides

You say that the most annoying part is having to grab and slide all your nighttime supplies as you scootch your way up the bed. What amazes me is that you always seem to manage to avoid hitting your head into that cupboard (hanging locker?) above and beside your right side. I'd always smack my head into it everytime! And you are so flexible and coordinated!

This is so great for all people to know this shit is absolutely possible as a person who is paralyzed stuff in the bedroom is absolutely possible

So brave and good that you answer these questions both for the curiosity of me as a guy who is not paralyzed and also for guys and girls in the age of 15-18 (in Sweden consent to sex at age 15 is allowed, so you can in theory be 15 and 35, but if charged with rape i will be on a minor) who might be paralyzed to know that being paralyzed is not a hindrance or reson not to do it (sex in al its forms) or to be able to do it or having the thought of not doing it or to fal in love with someone and stopping the feeling of love because you are afraid of the "sex" part when it comes to dating, relationships or one night stands.

You need a 3 way magnifying mirror and a couple of spot lights.

Just had the colostomy surgery to change the bowel routine. The routine was getting quite difficult over the years. Now, there's a different challenge, like so many other hurdles in life. ❤

Hi there, I watched part of your video about Syringomyelia... It was so hard to watch. I decided to watch later. This Syrinx business is harsh, it felt like some kind of existential threat. Whatever that means. Mine is at C-5 . First surgery was Dec 9th 22. It's back... Nuff said. I'll look through your channel to find it again later. I do want to finish watching about your visit with the neurologist, and daughter along with you. I was injured in 96. My daughter was about the same age as yours back then. So I felt it deep. You have to try to strenght your arms..after that use your door to push your ass (sorry) up on your seat..if your arms can not bit so strong, use your elbows to do that..i am wheelchaor user, muscle dystrophy, so i know what you going trough..keep fighting 💪🏻

Interesting question on when you became paralyzed/disabled. My wife and I discussed this at length in the afternoon. We came to the inevitable conclusion. And we also then expanded our discussion into a “comparison” of becoming disabled at 13 vs 36 vs being disabled since birth. Because my wife is in the latter category. Never experienced some activities. Similar to what you said on what you talked about on one of your first Q & A’s about not really missing something than you’ve never had. But, oddly perhaps, I think it is bothering her a bit now as we’ve gotten older. Hmmmm.

You do a lot of the same things I do! I am a t3, t4 paraplegic. I just wanted to ask why you don't use water-bottles? I use water bottles, but maybe it is easier as a man? I get in trouble by my wife and son because I have bottles of pee in my truck. I pour them out too, but just like you said, you don't always have a good place to pour it. It just seems like it would be easier because you don't have to clean it, or carry around a special urinal. I have been in a wheelchair since June 3, 1995. I love your videos!

I’m with Fred, I got disabled at 41. I’m glad I had all those years dancing, hiking, skating, skiing etc. I can see the benefit of adapting when you’re younger, but I would have missed out on so much.

Thanks for being so honest. It's very helpful and encouraging! I can tell that your husband adores you, and guys like that don't cheat. I was a little sad for you at the beginning of the video, but it reminded me of how many people who lose their hearing say that it forced them to a way more intimate way of communicating with people and they're glad. You probably have felt intimate emotions the rest of us will never experience!

My brother had this in 1963 and the Doctors were bewildered. Thank god for the VA unfortunately a few years after his surgery he became a Quad but lived approximately 35 years after his surgery in 1963.

Yes true. They clear up on their own but as advised by experts take inbuprofen to numb the pain. Only take ibu when pain returns. This method encourages yr own immune system to fight the infection. All the other standard tips good too but dont stop pain…. 👍🏽👏
