Great fight by both fighters. Very close call and seemed like it could have gone either way, even when awaiting the final verdict. Great to see such mutual respect between Buakaw and Yi Long as well. I really liked that they humbled themselves before each other and embraced at the end. We need more of this in combat competitions.

Seem liked stamina and speed of monk lost in later rounds. But he ate all kicks and punches from strongest muay Thai fighter like it was nothing. Huge respect for Shaolin monk. His body is like steel from his hard training but he slightly lacked tactics and speed which MMA fighter have. If he learns Just MMA technique he will become invincible.

One of the craziest fights I’ve ever seen because of how absolutely insane Malaipet’s corner was… They we’re confusing Malaipet so much… they’d get angry and yell some of the most viscous advice I’ve ever heard… They we’re basically (heard through the little bit of Thai that I know) begging Malaipet not kill Kevin Ross because of much smaller he was than Malaipet (because of much weight Malaipet cut to drop down to Kevin Ross’s weight) and how it’d be unfair to kill someone in their country because they were guests in his home… Malaipet’s smirk got erased throughout the fight and later succumbed to his own corner begging for the other opponent… Malaipet had hella girls in his corner… pretty good fight tho 👏 I remember chatting it up with Kevin Ross right before he went into the ring…
