I have had Punctal plugs inserted a week ago. No pain or discomfort at all. I was worried I would feel them, but no. Within 24 hrs of the drops, I was given as well as a prednisone eye drop.... Such a relief in how my eyes were and how they are now. No itchy gritty dry feeling. A total eye opener...

just to have a DOC give me a diagnosis. SS just does not register with many. i have most symptoms that you have shared including lack of energy to be social, go shopping, or go anywhere. 😮.

I’m shocked at how much of this I relate to. I was thinking EDS, thyroid eye disease, etc I’ve seen so many rheumatologists and they’ve never commented on my dry fragile skin, constant dry gritty eyes, bad teeth etc I have also tested positive for other autoimmune antibodies

I've had symptoms for probably 30 yrs and am still not diagnosed.

I was diagnosed with sjogrens syndrome in January when went to see the rheumatologist in Shreveport Louisiana on the 25 of January n she call me n told me that I have sjogrens syndrome

I am not diagnosed yet, but the fatigue is the worst for me.

My doctor sent me GI specialist. They put me under for the endoscopy 👍 They sent me for that same test and they found more problems like severe esophageal spasms which are incredibly painful. They stretched my esophagus which mostly kept me from passing out when food got stuck but it made the pain of it so much worse.

I love y’all! Please, keep informing! I have these same issues. No one has addressed the issue but me! I’ve not had many gagging problems in the last few weeks. I’m mainly eating canned peaches and scrambled eggs. The peaches seem to soothe my stomach, no reflux, and no constipating !

My neice has Sjogrens and Lupus.. My symptoms all indicate Sjogrens too but Dr hasn't done anything yet..for many years ive suffered. I have an artificial eye,the other eye had detached retina surgery years ago,vision is 20/200, very dry eyes and so blurry,i can't read. Dry mouth w/hurting teeth. Vaginal dryness @72,ouch. Chronic pain, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, headaches,extreme intestinal distress...list goes on.kidney disease so i cant take alot of meds or natural stuff or foods because of oxalates...i need help!!!!😂😢😮 Also, i take so many vitamins that can help but nothing seems to work thus far!!!

This was a helpful podcast to listen to. I have been researching this brand and its great to hear directly from the creator of the brand and what thought goes into creating the frames and how our skulls, orbital sockets due to our ethnicity make a HUGE difference in how they fit. Currently I suffer from ABMD - anterior basement membrane dystrophy. Symptoms are very close to that of dry eye and can often cause corneal tears and episodes that are very painful that include light sensitivity. All I was informed about from my corneal specialist was to make sure at all times my eye is kept lubricated to prevent these symptoms. Otherwise surgical intervention is the last option.

Thank you for sharing’ l am having some issues myself for many years, no doctor knew what was wrong until about 4, months ago when l finally found a doctor who listened to me sent me to a Pain n spine doctor who mentioned Sjogrens and ordered nerve conductions , EMG, and a lot of lab work l just had the panel of lab work done for Sjogrens the only problem now l am 75, years old and the symptoms are getting worse, l wish it could have been found 30 years ago because l have really been sick l do have all the symptoms of Sjogrens it started over thirty years ago but thank you for sharing your experience and letting others know about this at least they want have the problem l have had God Bless you on your journey to a better quality and a better life with this disease 🙏❤️

Thank you for all this info. I have Sjogren's and have had a lot of trouble getting Doctors to understand it. I just found out I am sensitive to medications, at this time Prozac and has given me horrible headaches and has made my nephropathy much worse. This is all very confusing at times.

I know this may seem strange but I'm grateful that others have written how bad they are. I feel so alone. They think I have had this since I was5. I am now 63. I spend most my time in bed. I'm down to 21 teeth and have spent so much money on dental care. My last tooth broke off at the gum line while I was flossing. My eyes hurt so badly that it feels like someone has beaten me with a bay. Severe headaches, joint pain. constipation, Itchy patchy dry thin skin and the list goes on. We dont make big money for the Pham companies and so we dont get the same research or drugs offered to others.

Eyes l had a lot of matter in my eyes , sight was worse glare from other car lights , my voice changed, morning fog in my brain , a lot of flu like symptoms, pain and numbness my finger tips are numb because of nerve damage pain all over give out walking just short distances that’s not all but l need to stop texting now because of pain in my fingers thank you both for your time n time

I work as a library assistant, part time 20-25 hours a week and help care for my 97 year old mom with dementia. She is in memory care now, but I spend a few hours daily with her and take her to doctor appointments. My library job is very physical, which I'm grateful for. It keeps me active. Lately I've been doing better with fatigue, but I follow the 2/3 theory. I divide the day into 3rds ---- morning, noon, and night. I can only be active 2/3 of the day and need to rest for the other part. It means saying no to things, but I've gotten better at it. My husband is very supportive. Thank you for this channel!

I started getting corneal abrasions and had to stop wearing contacts, and that was 35 years ago. I started having really dry skin around the same time. My mouth wasn't as dry, but I remember noticing that other people made a lot more saliva. I wasn't actually diagnosed until about 20 years ago. First, it was mixed connective tissue disease and sjögren's. Rheumatoid arthritis and anti-phospholipid antibodies were added. I remember the pain and how stiff I was all the time. About 6 weeks after starting methotrexate, my husband commented that I wasn't walking like a 90 year old anymore. I have since progressed to having chronically enlarged parotid and salivary glands. I have urinary and bowel issues, very dry vaginal and rectal areas, muscle and joint pain, peripheral neuropathy, difficulty swallowing, a chronic cough, skin problems, and photosensitivity. I know that isn't everything, but it is enough. My doctor has said that I have a really high likelihood of developing lymphoma based on a combination of symptoms that I have. It just seems like people downplay sjögren's because it isn't as deadly as lupus.

I'm had numerous Sjogrens symptoms for many years. Docs ignored me and refused to diagnose and no pain management will treat this. It's more than just dry eyes and dry mouth. It's unbearable daily pain, insomnia, dental abscesses, interstitial cystitis, nausea, vertigo, psoriasis, joint and sternal pain,decreased motility allergies and an impaired immune system leading to constant sickness and unbearable fatigue.

CBD isn't legal in my state. No relief here.

Do you mind telling what medications you were on, along with what help they gave? I’m taking two, but I’m not sure they are helping. My implants are falling out. I now know it's Sjogrens. Dentists don't know about it.

My energy levels were ok until I had Covid four months ago - fatigue levels have really skyrocketed to the level where simple tasks are really draining.

I take b12 for nerve health, anti-inflammatory tumeric/black pepper pills and definitely omega 3s for dry eyes. I'm gluten free for last 3 years and that's helped

Solanine an ingredient in nightshades, apples and blueberries can increase pain in those with autoimmune disorders. I was bedridden for almost a year until I found this information.

I have Sjögren’s and one of my worst symptoms is dry mouth. I wish they wouldn’t put xylitol in this because many of us with various autoimmune conditions are allergic to xylitol and get horrible digestive symptoms from it.

Punctual plugs made my dry eyes worse, it was like torture. Maybe they didn’t fit properly, but I had no desire to try again. The eye drops work best for me. I will try to get some of those sealed glasses, great suggestions here. I stopped mid podcast to buy another humidifier, thank you so much! This summer has been hard where I live, the air quality has been horrible. I also got permanent eye makeup to avoid having to put it on. I also had my brows done. I love it!
