Misdiagnosed my appendicitis.Said i probably had cancer.Called oncologist in to eval me.Said my appendix burst abd radiology didnt catch it despite x rays,multiple ct scans and a hidda scan. Apparently their radiologists cant read x rays.Was told by my primary doctor that this was not the first time radiology screwed up.They were looking for an illeous to explain my abd pain and fever.When the radiologist didnt see that they assumed it was bowel cancer.I almost got sent home with a semi permanent iv with the understanding i might have to have chemo therapy later. All i can say is Sheeeesh!

My surgeon has told me to avoid lunges and squats. Also running. Is he correct? I had bilateral hip replacement 6 months ago and still have a limp in left hip. I rehab each day.

@@nickshields7258 It depends. The anterior approach usually has fewer restrictions. My surgeon has no restrictions (except no bathtub, swimming, or Jacuzzi for 3 weeks). Other than that people run, bike, play tennis and pickle ball or whatever. It's something you need to talk over with your surgeon because in addition to the approach (anterior, lateral, posterior) the materials used can make a difference I think. They no longer use metal on metal, they don't usually use an all ceramic femoral head (which could crack) but do use ceramic on metal, the newer polyethylene lasts a lot longer. And...it can depend on your bones... So yes, it's something you need to discuss with your surgeon.
