Thanks for the clarification on how your episodes work. I totally get it. I am assuming Lisa told you I asked how far you actually are on the car now. She keeps telling me to stop over. I just may sometime, when I get the chance. If you don't mind. Love your work and your channel! Your doing great!

Thanks for subscribing!! My approach is my progress. Sometimes I even have my wife help with the camera. Some of the newer stuff I am doing now shows my sins and mistakes, cause she is there to catch me screw up! When I fired that HEMI for the first time to break in the cam, I about lost my intestinal contents with the shut down. Glad she didn't shoot that video. Anyway, getting back into it to make more progress. Thanks again.

We have participated in the power tour the last 5 years. Bowling Green Ky. needs to be dropped from the stops. The gouging of the participants is obvious the $85.00 Motel room becomes $225.00 +. The two lane road to Beach Bend park is a joke. Bowling Green is definitely not set up to accommodate the amount of traffic that the power tour brings.

Thanks for the comments! Being from the Plains area, clearly I had sticker shock with the hotel prices also. And, clearly when a population expands by >10% for a day, the traffic situation is unbearable. 2 hrs to get into the park.

So, does the rust eventually become active under the clear coat, or, does the clear coat prevent that?
@AllKainzofKlassics
@AllKainzofKlassics Ай бұрын
Two replies. The clearcoat does act as a seal. However, if the rust migrated from under the rubber on the floorboards (like mine was) then I would anticipate it continuing. Please remember, I created a "rust effect" on this truck that was built back in 2016. So most of it is faux patina. Thanks

I love your work Fred! Looks BADASS! I just noticed your shifter nob. I have one just like it. My question to you is, what do you have stashed away in it under the cap of it? 😂

Can't you just buy an adapter plate?
@AllKainzofKlassics
@AllKainzofKlassics 3 ай бұрын
Yes, an adapter plate is available but not to the dimensions I was working to achieve and the flow characteristics to the plenum from the throttle body. I would have wound up modifying one. Thanks Jason!!

Thanks for the comments and suggestions. I actually ordered the stainless woven flex joints for the exhaust last week. I had similar concerns bouncing in my head that you clearly describe below. Many thanks. I love the advice and comments!

Glad to see another early Dodge build. Really nice job on the exhaust it takes a lot of time and attention to detail to to do a nice job like that. I worked in a muffler shop for 25 years so have a little experience. One thing you have to account for is expansion in the system, the exhaust on my 28 Dodge grows 1/2" in length on the highway my tail pipes are 1/8"behind the diff when cold and 5/8 hot. It is important to allow for this in your hangers so as to not causes problem up the pipes. Once again nice job.

Good stuff, about 2 years ago I had to go to a junk yard to pick up a dead axle for my wife's grand caravan, before that it's been maybe 30 years since visiting junk yards which are my favorite places to be. The prices sky rocked of course to me now. I'm a car nut and usually go to rock auto to repair any of my rides. good luck bud.

KOOL! I looked and looked and the company that originally produced this for a Hemi was purchased by another adapter company. Turns out the original did not keep electronic versions of the drawing. I happen to have the luxury of a son with Solidworks 3D modeling expertise. I ran the caliper and he ran the 3D drafting. All went to plan without a hitch as you will see in upcoming videos. Thanks for the comment! I appreciate it.

Thanks for the comment Chris. I am not an historian or a collector. However I do like to find things that present challenges. I am not necessarily brand loyal, I've owned and worked on all of em. For me this is a challenge and something to keep my interests. First time I ever worked on one of these. In the end, its all just fuel, iron and transportation. Right??!!
