You mentioned you use a 28mm aliexpress speaker in some cases. Do you have a link for that? And how does it compare to the SO elite snd dark?

@cbrsawyer I haven't even gotten them and I've just ordered a 32mm speaker with a lower frequency response down to 150hz. I'm likely going to 3D model my own design and have it tube-lasered, so will work it in somewhere.

awesome stuff! other than soldering the wire was there any work you needed to do for the bigger speaker to work? I have an older saber that I'm putting an xeno3 rgb into and I'll probably be using the older speaker as it's bigger and fits the current chasis in the hilt. Thanks for any info!

Good lookin set of sabers! LGT is my go-to for sabers. So customizable, so affordable. I have yet to see another manufacturer come close. I think the most important thing is to find a reliable vendor, like Darkwolf, Vire sabers or Crimson Dawn.

Feel like I'm gonna stay mostly around LGT myself as my Saberforge venture is off to a ripping start. After 3 weeks it finally got to me, the emitter and handle section will not separate. We are being charged a lot for some aluminum tubes, I don't think it's a lot to expect that the quality is there and things like this aren't the norm. Even LGT could step it up in a lot of ways.

@@cbrsawyer yea, the only thing keeping them from being completely ideal for me is the pommels and connectors for staffs. The staff being a bigger issue cause that's two speakers and everything I see is very mild venting. Ugh.

Just now seeing this but I actually bought my first sabers last week. First font I made was SpongeBob 😂 I used the captain singing “Ooooooohhhhhhhhhhh” as the hum and the squishy boot steps for clash. Hooplah is blaster deflect. Smooth swing is his laugh. And I added 3 music tracks you can play behind everything else. Love yours more for sure though lol

Need to get my saberforge hilt so I can load it up with all the fun lights and sounds, lol. Hope that comes ok cause if I can get cheap proffie cores it helps offset how expensive some of their hilts are. Like the Conan flame blade would look sick with their knight errant hilts, but they charge 150, yeowch. 😢

@@cbrsawyer yea, gonna have to go that route eventually. Cool sabers at a good price if you build it. But there's a new shop on Ali with lgt proffie cores for 45. So now you can do those builds for less, too. I hope this trends and we can get stuff for less, especially blades. But I'm getting stuff to make those too, lol.

At least they made it right. May come around to them, cause they do have some cool stuff. I like the stuff that fits LGT cores. Saw that Bastion Eco hilt.. the pommel on that might be rather ideal. Looks like venting all around it. Maybe only downside is no easy battery access, but oh well. Looks like it might be a fun one to move around, too. 🤔

I’m obvs worried these grips won’t hold up, but, yeah, they made it right. I’m gonna have to figure out this install, though. Not my strong point so far. Lol All their apprentice hilts were <$50 for empties, though. That’s a deal.

As long as I can use the speakers I've been using in my LGTs, and I feel like I can, that thing should be a beast. Feel like I need a bit more zen before trying a build like that, tho it probably starts feeling easier as you go.

I feel like the carbon fiber would shine for a double-bladed setup, tho the whole thing is probably chonkier than I'd like for that. But already the aluminum hilts aren't enough to balance well with pixel blades, so lighter isn't the way to go for single. Do like the idea of a setup where you can add weight and such. Be nice to actually see that work more ideally than this.

Most people don’t seem to care much about balance, but it gets on my nerves for a “lightsaber” to be weighted toward the blade too much.

@@cbrsawyer yea, that's why I'm using baselits a majority of the time. They just feel better. Glad the XRGBs don't suck. With better speakers anyways. But even that hilt I had to extend a bit for balance, and the proffie a deal more. I know they can make hilts heavier, just not sure if they can do blades lighter. 🤔

Right? They obvs don’t work well in every font, but they have their uses I think. There’s a subtle sword slsh (subtle as in I need to pulp the volume up) in the Conan font.

You mean because copyright or what? I don’t worry about it because I’m using the clips for fan-made stuff that I don’t charge for if that’s what you mean. Shouldn’t be an issue. Besides, you’ve got all these font makers including quotes they ripped from whatever source. They’ll go after them if anything. Other than that, I’m not sure what you could mean. And glad the video helped!
