One always needs to use caution on any slope with ZERO Turn Mowers whether gas or electric as they will have a tendency to slip on on slopes....has nothing to do with type of real tires.

The chickens seem like a really expensive hobby. Do you break even or close to it?

Why would you not back the truck to the barrel.? You would have to move once not twice.

What happens if you get a flat? Won’t the antifreeze leak out and animals can eat it? It can kill them

Nate, I don't know if this would help, but when we bought our small John Deere tractor, my husband was moving gravel in the tractor bucket to the hilly part of our land and needed weight on the back of the tractor. He took a 55 gallon blue plastic barrel, drilled some holes and attached metal bars to barrel, and then filled the barrel with concrete. The metal bars attach to back of tractor. Because you are dealing with a lightweight lawnmower, I wonder if a 5 gallon bucket of concrete would give you the weight you need. My husband is quite techy, a farm boy, extremely mechanically inclined, nothing he can't fix or build, so like you, he is always tinkering to make improvements on what we have - safety is important.

Oh man I love that tractor of yours. Definitely helps to load the bags from the top of the barrels Nate. Really cool tractor. Have you thought about getting chains for the tires?

It has amazed me to see how chickens can destroy grass!!

Hi Nate -- Does that enclosed cabin keep the tractor noise low? If no, you really need to invest in some ear protectors.

We use windshield wiper fluid in our rear tractor tires. It doesn't freeze and is much cheaper! Information for next time!

Also, Nate, I've never heard of it, so just curious, who told you to put liquid in your tires(farmers?)? As opposed to just adding simple (barbell?) weights, to the rear compartment?
@jrae66082 күн бұрын
It’s on a u tube channel. No one does this here, doesn’t add enough weight. Hope added weight not to heavy for plastic, fiber glass on mower. Good luck

Yeah, it was fun watching the animals' antics in the beginning and I really enjoyed this episode ;-) Thanks for going through the extra so I can watch how it's done ;-)

The added weight in the tires will help. Hope you come up with a plan; I am sure you will.

Not sure where you got those pickled eggs, however I find it insulting to whoever gave them to you to not only have made such fun of them, but to replay that as a special episode.
