When I was 4 or 5 I was staying with my grandma for vacations (we live 1h30m away) and my dad went to pick me up, before leaving, I remember opening my backpack, where I had a few of my favorite snacks, and felt sick to my stomach because of the smell, but when my dad asked me why I was sitting on the stairs I only said "I don't want to leave now, it feels wrong leaving now", so my dad said "ok, we'll leave in half an hour". When we were on the road I was feeling way better, when we encountered a multiple car accident, 11 cars where wrecked, my dad told me years later that the accident happened 30min before we leave the house, and that he believes that we would have been involved in the accident if I didn't tell him to leave later. I haven't been able to eat those snacks again, they make me feel sick. My dad also told me that it wasn't the first time I said something like that and that he learned to trust my gut, but this is the first one I remember

I was alone at a bus stop, as a 35 year old, and a group of 8 or 10 tough kids showed up and were just milling around and staring at me. I walked away. Bad bad vibes.

High school party at a random house. The crowd was mostly unknown to me but the few i knew were bad kids. The vibe was off, no music, no booze, but invited a ton of ppl? Stuff wasnt adding up, a few ppl were there to buy pot including us. The bad kids were Wigger waana be gansters in the 2000s. I told my buddies its time to go, we always trusted each other and bounced. Friends of the shiteheads showed up and robbed everyone. It was all a setup to get ppl over with money to steal. The shitehead kids were obviously in on it and back at school a bunch of them got jumped. Good riddens.

Had a friend that used to work on a bar/pub. Since he started he told me clear: "Only order pizza, you dont want to know about the rest of the food".

I've worked at a few chains. At Arby's, avoid the roast beef, it's low grade cuts essentially boiled in a bag for hours then put on a "roasting slicer" which just makes it develop a gross skin. Qdoba, avoid any meats but the steak, chicken and shrimp, those are the only ones actually cooked in the restaurant and not just reheated from frozen. Del Taco, avoid the seasonal fruit drinks, the fruit is often spoiled.

@@bigvaxmeanie925 Yes. We call them "Mexicans" in the US, "slavs" in western Europe, "the Dutch" in South Africa, "Thais" is south east Asia... See "mudsill theory."

If you see soup on the menu at a pizza place, only order pasta fagoli. Its made in house, the other soups are from progresso cans.

How do I know I'm conventionally ugly? When I was at the zoo, I walked past the warthog enclosure and my iPhone unlocked itself.

Iriconji box jellyfish. Most people don't realize it, because in open seawater they're nearly invisible to the naked eye, even if there's hundreds or thousands of them per galon. They're tiny, translucent, EXTREMELY painful, very lethal to swim through, and the reason I don't swim in the ocean.

Having a pool filled with alcohol. Many, many people wish they could have a pool full of alcohol, it's even mentioned in a popular party-ish song. But, there was a man who hand gotten very dirty somehow, I forgot the details, but it's on 1000 ways to die, decided hed take a bath with rubbing alcohol. Well he filled his tib with it, and got in, he scrubbed and scrubbed, he soon passed out and died of acute alcohol poisoning. Our skin absorbs alcohol through the skin, and, well, it'll kill you.

That story was based on a woman who Submerged herself in a tub full of alcohol during the SARS epidemic. It's on the 'list of unusual deaths' on Wikipedia.

Waiting for discounts or sales are a thing rich people can do. Poor people need their food daily and can't wait for weeks cause they have a full storage since the last sale. They buy something cause they need it now, not in the future.
