Absolutely stunning scenery ! Not a fan of music over this kind of content but that's a personal preference. I would rather listen to the sound of boots on the ground and the wind/nature. Great job filming it, i plan to do this one day and now you've just moved it up my list, thank you 😁😁

Really appreciate your comment mate, thanks a lot. Partially agree with the music thing and I always try to find some balance (if possible) but i thought 12 min watching rocks and listening to the wind would be boring for “some” watchers. But I know what u meant 😊. I would go there again tomorrow, stunning location

I am sure if you swap boots for cross-trainers and "run" (instead walking or catching breath every 20 min) you could return to a car park in half of the time (easy). Hello mate. I was actually fairly accurate with my description at the end of this video. Started at Pen-y-Pass around 8 am and as soon as i completed Crib Goch , got to the "copa summit" stone and quickly joined PYG Track to come down. I did not go to the summit (been there many times). I must admit the initial plan was to come down via Miner's Track (not PYG) but i went a bit too far on the PYG - and it would have been tricky (and time consuming) to come down lower and re- join Miner's again. Having said that - going down via Miner's Track (pretty much flat all the way from the lake) would easily allow for much quicker walk. Maybe i could save further 20-30 min ? Got back to Pen-y-Pass 2 min after 12 midday. Literally 4 hours return, which is nothing special at all but i was not rushing, it was not the plan. My video was only 14 min compiled footage as it gets boring to watch 30 min (or more), so 10-15 min max for me. That day i had serious doubts i will enjoy the "knife edge" purely because brilliant weather and suspected CROWDS to pass by .... not easy on a Crib Goch. To my surprise it was great, completely different than expected but i was there early. Thanks

Do you speak English mate? I am way more disappointed than you - to wait for so long to see your "Italian side" video. You have made your fair judgement about the French "panettone" side, now i'd like to make mine. I am even more disappointed to be "forced" to translate each of your comment - assuming you are "all around the world" type of climber. I always thought English language is more popular than Italian pasta. Isn't it? So cut the long story short - i fully appreciate your "local" Alpine recommendations (i really do, honestly, no sarcasm here). Unfortunately, no matter how much you think they are ICONIC, your vision and mine - are completely different mate. On top of that - i think you did not read my question. I have no slightest idea why are you suggesting climbing routes to me ( i never asked for it). So once again - can you show me your video (winter attempt from the Italian side, please?) . Your climbing routes are truly famous but very far from my personal dreams. To point out a few - Peak Pobeda (in winter), North Face of Jannu (in winter), Shivling (Matterhorn of India) so i do not need new suggestions, i have plenty ideas in my mind, believe me . I just hope this is pretty clear expression how i feel about the Alps, compared to other mountains. @@torome1812

There's a thin line between stupidity and courage. It's good to see people walk around a feature/drop when they are not feeling it. Then they can push that line. And it's good to watch that process on video, pinkbike doesn't get it right.

DYFI Bike Park (and its features) changes . Many riders have noticed certain features look slightly different now than before. Weather (and tons of water in Wales) plays major role in this process therefore trails are changing (slightly). That drop must be approached at speed as there is a "kinda" sharp rock boulder sticking out (on your way down - before you land). I know for a fact this was rollable in the past (doesn't look like now). Dyfi runs fast when its wet (imho) and to slow down before the left berm made me think ....... next time. I am thinking about this drop since a year. Can you send a link to the Pink Bike video?

@noexpirydate5208

Well .... yes it does (and no it doesn't). I mean - if there is no crowd of people around you, allowing you to enjoy silence and admire the view at the same time (sunny spells make a huge difference for photographers to capture a nice shot) - then i am sure each route (pretty much) can be magical. Having said that - If it's raining on the way up and you're all wet, it gets very cold on the descent. I won't even mention wet slabs and how slippery it is. If you consider Snowdon Cycling Agreement "time slot"- i'd say early spring (1 hour before the crowd) - is the best descent you can experience. Summer is also good but lots of people start early am - mixing with bikers so no matter what time you leave (or start your descent) - you have no chance for a quick and smooth run down (imho).
@dominickkm5125
@dominickkm5125 7 ай бұрын
@@noexpirydate5208 i did this decent in summer time but i was camping at the base of snowdon so where you went right after the very steep technical (and bike destroying!) part and you have the option to go right or left I went left towards camp. but the luxury of this is I was able to do the ride much much later in the afternoon so it was very quiet i had no one in my way and like you said the conditions where great (also you have the added bonus as everyone comes down they cheer you on as you go up)... so great it was the hottest day of they year! but loking at this video the conditions you went down in look much more exciting and visually interesting. like i said magical! just sad that the "magic" makes it more dangerous for us. if you want a clean run i would recommend summer time late afternoon.

@@dominickkm5125 yes, i am familiar with the route split (right hand side -which is the one i took, towards Llanberis town ) or keeping straight - towards the LAKE (if i can call it that way, never been there before by the way). Tony, I had similar situation with my other bike - Nuke Mega 290 Comp (at the time of purchase) . My Mega is 170 mm front (RockShox Yari, not Lyrik) and 160 mm rear (Super Deluxe Select R). But when I read my bike WEB description (still fundable online) - they say the rear shock is 165 mm (instead 160). Just for your peace of mind - you can always measure the overall length of the shock and the actual STROKE (length of travel) to be sure. Number of times I've heard about description differences when you read distributor's web spec and when it comes to bike manual (actually looking into it and reading certain bits). TREK's website stated: " .... An aluminium frame built for harsh riding with a threaded bottom bracket, dual down tube guards, Knock Block 2.0 and 160 mm of travel with a RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate shock for long descents and 170 mm RockShox Lyrik Select+ fork. Plus, a SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain with an extra-low 52-tooth gear, Code R 4-piston brakes and completely tubeless Line Comp 30 wheels. Hope it helps you mate. Thanks for comment.

Having said that, some of that was really catchy and i enjoyed it a lot (suits jumping). Let's face it, most of the time - you pay attention to - not getting killed, snap your spine or twist ankles - and not really tune in the background. In my initial video there was 7.6 sec of "8 mile" rapping theme, which was fitting the footage perfectly. It was partially blocked by You Tube hence small adjustment and music deleted. Even though changes made and accepted by You Tube, compared to analytics yesterday 26th of March i have been robbed by nearly 1K views - by You Tube TODAY. Does anyone know why this is happening to creators on this platform (i have more examples) and WHY nobody from You Tube has absolutely no decency to explain reasons? This has affected number of my videos before.
