Your the only one who actually showed "how" to click it back in during re-assembling everyone else skipped it and made it look easy. Thank you for also struggling with it! You really have to crush that last clip in, felt like I was breaking the left/right clicks until it finally clicked.

ok this worked! but it def takes some adjusting. I used a tape that needed 3 layers for the left and I added 2 for the right. Still iffy, so I might test it and open it back up. but this made this less scary. I might use less textured tape next time I open it up. Thanks!

Thanks a bunch! In my case a TSA agent accidentally dropped my mouse when searching through my backpack and all the buttons on the side of the mouse stopped working for me. After seeing your video I immediately got the suspicion that it was the white flat cable connecting the side to the main board getting loose and after disassembling, that was exactly the case. After reconnecting the cable, all my side-buttons work again :) If anyone's also in this position, just lift up the tiny white piece of plastic on the top of the cable socket, put the cable in and push down the plastic to tighten the connection again. This is a pretty standard flat-cable (or ribbon cable) socket mechanism, if you need to google that :)

Thank you!!! Was going crazy thinking my drivers were malfunctioning. Used tape and it's more sensitive but fully works again without disengaging. Tried plastic at first but it held the button down too much and wouldn't disengage. Hopefully it lasts for a while it's not a cheap mouse!

In my case it was enough to disassemble and clean the internals. But it's sad. This is a really great mouse for not to mention really expensive and I have not even had this for 2 years before issues begins. In comparison I also have a very cheap M180 from Logitech that have been working painlessly for more than a decade. I also have a friend with an MX Master 2 that needs to use Bluetooth because the wireless receiver just stopped working.

Thanks for this video! This left click has been bugging me for so many days and finally tried adding some padding to the left click. As food as new now. It's been just 1 month past warranty :(. It's bad this problem exists and for a mouse that's considered one of the best
@smrn

Yes, faced the same issue with mine as well, only a few months past my warranty. Weird that so many people are facing this issue just after warranty is over. Logitech needs to make their hardware more durable, especially for such an expensive mouse.

I just opened mine I didn't need to use a bit of extra cushion or anything it was stuck so I blew on the right button and it cleared the problem. What you need is an air blower cleaner for some mouse button stuck issues. Don't open the mouse sometimes just blow on the button and blow into it😮 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

I encountered the same issue with my mouse ( Logitech Logi MX Master 3) and attempted the same procedure multiple times without any positive results. Initially, I used only tape, but later I switched to a hard plastic surface-similar to the ones that come with batteries or USB cards. My hypothesis was that the button pressure needed to be flat and consistent across the entire surface. After clicking around 50 times, it still works well. Can't predict tomorrow, but this has been my positive experience. Thanks to this amazing video!

You are correct, it's not just tape. I used double sided tape, but kept the cover. Meaning I attached the adhesive side to the mouse undercarriage where the button would be pushed down. So when the button is pressed, the cover's harder plastic presses the mou-e's tiny button.
@IvoSotoMx
@IvoSotoMx 2 ай бұрын
@@arcadion448 BTW, I'm currently using my old Master 2 mouse because the repair on my other mouse has become unstable. Sometimes the click is audible and tactile, but other times it's so faint that it's barely noticeable, which is quite frustrating for someone who relies heavily on their mouse. Could you please provide more details about what you mean by "cover" in your fix? I added a small piece of hard plastic between the mouse case and the actual button, then glued it to the button area. I'll attempt another repair soon, so any new ideas are welcome!
@arcadion448

@@IvoSotoMx - it'd be easier to show a picture. But when I buy double sided tape - there's a hard plastic cover on one side and a stick side on the other. You remove the plastic, and it becomes double sided. Just don't remove the plastic and stick the tap on your mouse so that when you press it, the plastic will touch the sensor.
