This resonates with me so hard right now. I am in the beginning stages of a cleaning business. Just landed a contract with a big dealership. Started yesterday. I was cleaning from 7pm until 230am. I'm here now taking a break. The question "why am I doing this?" definitely came up more than a few times. As they say "Rome wasn't built in a day". I'm reminding myself that this is just the beginning. I like what you have said that goes something like "If you're hiding from the work might as well hide from the money". Good luck my friend. everytime i try to use download the cleaning boss software I just get error codes, and I have tried to get the template aswell and never get the email, I've checked spam and even used new emails and still cant get it.

One person even sent the check and I was like ain't no way I'm depositing that on my business bank account and the lady got super upset. I sent that right back to them

I started cleaning homes after I got laid off my other job when Covid hit. I enjoyed it but want to get away from doing homes and want to get into cleaning offices and businesses. I was offered a job to clean a car dealership and I’m meeting with the owner tomorrow but have no clue how much to charge. They said they were happy with the guy that worked there but he wanted more money so they let him go. So I don’t want to bid too low or too high but don’t even know where to start.

How do you lock in a contract? Can’t the client say that you haven’t been cleaning well and cancel early?

Nice video. I was sent a check for a few thousand and took it to a special agent at the state police. So glad I could see something didn’t look right about the check and also the emails were very suspicious so on receiving the check I ended up taking it in to the police. it’s a common scam and this was 15 years ago! A few popular stock videos, are having an abundance of scammers in the comment section trying to mention about a financial advisor that is awesome you will make a lot with…and then they give the name and it’s ongoing thing within the messages with multiple fake accounts acting as different people trying to scam people out of money with some “amazing financial advisor”. Be safe and vigilant out there. Really appreciate the video kind of refreshed our minds on the dangers of other people taking our hard earned money.

I started a cleaning company back in feb and I signed up for Angi leads (waste of money) and they have this lead generator called “opportunities” from Feb until now I’ve had 18 opportunities that I accepted, all 18 not kidding all 18 where these exact scams. They’re out of town. Somebody will be there with the key. They’ll mail me a check. All I have to do is give them my bank account information for my business. I knew it was a scam out the gate. Be careful out here. It’s real in these streets btw Don’t except check!

I have my degree in business admin so i have great knowledge. But this happened twice to me but both times i declined the offers . I had something like this happen to me recently there was this commercial client who reached out to me claiming to be with the company Trullia & sent me over a contract to sign and the job sounded legit but they wanted me to send them over 2k to start the job for their insurance program or whatever. Hello, Question about moving too fast in a business. I stopped calling small businesses, because I assumed they would not have enough money to hire a cleaning service. I actually did get 2 or 3 law offices who do not hire it out. I started calling businesses that banks with multiple locations, trucking companies etc. So far these people already have someone, and some I'm still trying to get in touch with the facilities manager. My question is how big would you try to go at first? I would like to land a $2000 per month contract. That is my goal. I want to scale fast. Starting out my family will help me clean the building. That's 2-3 people besides me depending on how far away the client is. I don't have an official website yet. I started very basic, with a customized email address, a phone number, and a self-designed logo. I have not thought about hiring and am scared that I will call someone too big one day and they will say they'd like a walkthrough and I won't have enough people to clean. Keep in mind that I have called less than 200 businesses. Possibly less than 150. Please excuse my poor typing.
