Is this the most important D&B mix ever? For me Marky almost single handedly pulled D&B out of the dark moody aggy space it had found itself in. He demonstrated how it's possible to represent all of the styles while introduced Brazilian flavours of his own. He brought a huge amount of energy and fun. I still nerd out about how he doubles up Kerb Crawler. Finishing up with a Calibre track too back before most people knew who he was, that says a huge amount about how well Marky understands this music. I battered this mix in 2001 and I'm still playing it 23 years later.

This was needed! I fell in love with him in 2001 on this mix and was obsessed with it. I didn't know drum and bass could be this melodic and funky while also going on dark/tech steps. Still listen to this every month or two for my runs (DnB is the perfect tempo for running!)

I’m a huge Freddie Joachim fan and been listening to a track called rain drops inspired by mushroom jazz for years, only to to pay more attention to the track cover details today, ai’m here wondering why didn’t I just google who Mark Farina is, man I’ve been missing out 🥺.
