I feel like due to their augmentations, the soldier is fully conscious but has SOME control over himself, so it’s him arming the grenade, not the headcrab (as to eliminate the target, crab, and themselves in the process. Also, I personally believe that the soldiers have some pain-suppressants kinda like in the hev so they can hammer out some voice lines rather than just screaming in agony.

Soldiers armed with AR2 are so accurate holy shit. And that's how are they supposed to be.

Two small corrections: One of the pain sounds had the soldiers saying “Medical-“, which was used from “Request Medical” The first grenade line was “Extractors…”, I believe that the line originated from “Ready Extractors”.

I just noticed that Mapbase Vortigaunt Dynamic Interactions vs Zombies looks a lot better than in vanilla game. For some reason in vanilla game Zombies ragdolls get teleported near headcrab when Vortigaunt stomps them. And second Dynamic Interaction looks a bit better too.

I think because headcrabs affect the speaking part of their host brain, they talk backwards, but combine soldiers has had their vocal cords replaced with a radio, so zombines can still speak, but the radio would be damaged
