Wonderful! And the tape from the Washi Tape Shop - now in sticker form really adds to it! By the way I am also addicted to Fountain pens. Which brand/ type are yours? Take care😊
@TracyTylerRevell10 күн бұрын
I agree completely. Having the stickers is SO MUCH nicer than having to fussy cut each design. I'm still so new to the fountain pen world so I started with the Kaweco Sport, one in black and one in green, which are so much fun! I also have a Lamy Safari, a Twsbi Eco and a Twsbi Diamond 580. I just purchased my first "expensive" pen, the Pilot Vanishing Point, and oh man the hype is real! It's SOOO nice!!! I want so many other fountain pens but the price point has stopped me every time. The Pilot Custom 823 in Amber is like my dream pen!! 😆
@angelikaleckie63736 күн бұрын
In Germany students start school writing with a fountain pen in second grade. Later many students just write with pens. I also have a couple of Lamys… and Ihave some Kaweco Sports. I like the small size of them. Your really nice ones look great! ( Yeah I checked on them and they are a bit on the higher price side. But I don’t have one! Oh, if you are into the good ( and expensive fountain pens )you might have a look at the Mont Blanc brand!
@TracyTylerRevell2 күн бұрын
That is so interesting! I can't imagine learning to write with a fountain pen. 🩷 I will have to look into the Mont Blac brand, I'm still so new to this world that there are a ton of brands I've never heard of.

Kept a journal for decades and for long while have been leaning toward using more color and random things. I don't know the first thing about washi tape but it looks amazing--where can I go to order and see the colors before I order?

The washi tapes that I used in this video are all from The Washi Tape Shop. Here is the link as well as an affiliate code to save you 10% on your order. 😁 Link - www.thewashitapeshop.com?aff=898 Code - TRACYREVELL10

@@TracyTylerRevell you are very kind . Feeling a bit overwhelmed, but really until I found out about using stickers and journals, and then learned how creative I could be with it so that it would draw me to my journal to write, I'm excited. I'm just one of those people that likes to know what I'm buying before I spend a lot of money on it! As long as I can see the colorsand the color that will be great. Thank you so much again.

The journaling world can be extremely overwhelming. This past year, while taking my KZfaq break, I really tried to focus on the reason I got into journaling in the first place. It really helped me to scale back and minimize, at least for me 😂, and to focus on the products that really bring me joy and most importantly allow me to be creative while getting my plans, thoughts and feelings out on paper. I'm so excited for this journey for you. If you have any other questions, please let me know. 🩷

Hi Tracy! Glad I found your youtube channel again. Anyway, towards the end of the video you mentioned you wanted all of the "month" together but not want to get new inserts. Have you tried Hobonichi? They have a wide selection from A6 Techo to Weeklies (which has a space for bujo and lots of extra pages for creative journaling). Hope this helps! Also, love your spreads and glad you're back!
@TracyTylerRevell12 күн бұрын
Thanks! I tried a Hobonichi Cousin last year for planning and a little bit this year for journaling and as much as I LOVE the aesthetic of the HoCo, I think maybe it was a little to big and didn't have enough notes pages. I'm thinking of trying the A6 Techo next year for long form personal journaling though. The paper is just too good to resist! 😆

I truly love your set-up! I've been all over the place for the first half of the year, but when that happens, I have to run back to the basics. For June I have the new Bullet Journal Pocket (A6) set of 3 inserts on the way, so I'll be using those in a TN cover. One will be an Annual/ Reference (ala Lindsey Scribbles, I believe) and another will be a very basic bujo, with some deco. I've also gotten some Kraft cover pocket inserts on Amazon, which have held up unbelievably well, given my usual mistreatment. I have other journals, (for faith, long-form journaling, etc) but they don't leave the house. Can't wait to see what's next for you.

I have been on a “mission” (little explanation) I’m an empty nester, all four sons married n out n about now, thank you dear lord lol… however 2020 hit, I was a complete digital girl, my mother fell ill with the covid, they released her from hospital bedridden n unable to manage her own affairs with severe brain fog issues. I was thrown into move her in, dedicated a room for ALOT of gadgets to help move her around, get on top of her Dr appts, meds, therapies they were wanting her to have AND my new spiking blood pressure issues from stress. Digital just wasn’t working n hasnt 😖 being on phone with health care providers n accessing notes in the same phone while trying to look at Google calendar was driving me crazy. So started my journey into my research while maintaining my “I’m not wasting money” mindset. So I went n purchased soooo many dollar tree notebooks, loose leaf paper etc. I make lil booklets with the different sizes of “planners” ultimately at the end of the day I made this pocket tn. Concept is prefect, have a lil book for mom, another for me, etc etc. however I go through books like crazy n have shoeboxes full because I can’t throw them away because some info I still need to access (so sorry long comment I’m getting to it I swear) the only solution I came up with was I bought a huge binder, my pocket tn booklets are small, I bought the “sports card collection plastics” I date the booklet n slide it into this binder that weighs more than my moms cat at this time, but it’s the only solution I have found other than scanning the booklets n fill a jump drive. I think if I went bigger with tn or bigger planner it would be so hard to get around with all I carry to her appts along with trying to help lift her, balance her, get her TOTE full of current meds etc etc. so my lil tn is an old wallet of mine, I didn’t punch holes I just went around outside with elastics n cut down as much notebook paper that could fit in each booklet and allow to be stapled. (Roughly 40 whole sheets, folded half 80 etc etc… which makes a nice fat lil booklet) yes the wallet is like 3 inches thick but it’s working. No decor though. But then I’m not that creative with decor ESPECIALLY because I hate spending money. I want to thank you for sharing, I do like your set up, makes me want to go a bit bigger I think. God bless

Thank you Tracy - it’s funny I’ve been pondering Travelers notebooks lately. I wondered if people use them with a “regular” bullet journal or instead of one. Do you intend to keep up with your A & O bullet journal or just use this system? I know some of the Hobinichi folks use the Cousin and the Weeks - which seems redundant to me. I’m pretty new at this - so I’m just trying to figure stuff out. BTW love your nail color!!
@cammiesuzuki77494 ай бұрын
I'm not Tracy but I'll give you my opinion.😜I have used an A & O for a few years and saw the Traveler's notebook a few months ago. I loved the idea of the passport size so I bought a few inserts, a cover, etc. I set it up and took it everywhere. Well, I had great intentions and I still love the idea of it, but I really missed my A & O bullet journal so I switched back. That's just me though.

Thanks for your thoughts, I’m so new at this. Appreciate your feedback though.

Hi! As of right now I’m still using my B6 Sterling Ink notebook as my bullet journal and just experimenting with this travelers notebook system to see if I like it. Basically I’m writing everything in both which is absolutely redundant 🤪 but I don’t want to abandon my B6 if this little experiment only lasts a month. So far, I’m having a hard time deciding which one I like more. They are both great options and both have pros and cons. Such is the life of a planner person 🤣. I do agree with you about the Hobonichi though. I tried both last year and they were both great options but one was way too big and the other was too small. I also don’t need a “timed” layout personally. My thoughts are, if you have the resources, do some experimenting. A&O is great but there are also so many other options out there that are just as wonderful if you’re feeling like a change. Hope that helps! 🩷
@TracyTylerRevell4 ай бұрын
If you don’t mind me asking, what were some of the reasons you decided against the TN? I’m still so torn between which option I like more. 😆
@cammiesuzuki77494 ай бұрын
I just found I wasn’t using the passport at all. I missed having the space to add some journaling, which I’m sure I could have done in the passport. I actually ended up ordering an A & O 8 x 8 journal. I love it but will switch back to A5 when it’s full. I do agree with you on liking cream paper over the white!! Okay, and full transparency!!!! This video did make me want to try the passport again so I’m setting one up to see if I’ll use it. 😂I won’t stop using my bigger bujo though.
