Quick question is this your last year marching or nah? BTW how do you make your high e so effortless?
@GabrielEspinozaRealtor3 ай бұрын
2024 is my age-out. And with the E it's just about trying to play as efficient as possible. Scales and long tones have helped me get to that effortlessly.

Hello and thanks from a former Bloopit percussionist! It is a joy to see these headcams and live a bit vicariously through my fellow Bluecoats :) I am not a wind instrumentalist, and I don’t really know nothin about honkin no horns, but I have always wondered: when first parts and screamers swoop up to hit a high chord tone, like at 2:25, is that written in the book? Do you have discretion as to when you take a note up? Or is it a thing where you hit the tonic first in order to give yourself a launchpad to hit the high note?
@bradencw Жыл бұрын
i second this
@julientortillas5455 Жыл бұрын
Upper splits are almost always written in
@landonbynum5905 Жыл бұрын

@beanz3436 Жыл бұрын
the tonic is usually played for interval purposes, for me at least. i find it easier to play a perfect 5th going from C->G rather than just starting on the high note. it is also just for timing purposes, it can be weird to enter on the ends of chords without playing the beginning
@Daniel-tr9mk Жыл бұрын
also it’s easier to rip up to a high note than to smack it straight up
