Ive made this mistake and it cost me a headache and had to start over. When cerakoting bigger parts especially like AR15 parts make sure to wait 15 min between coats. Wait 15 min before putting it in the over to cure. IMPORTANT: Oven cure for 20-30 min at 180 BEFORE final cure of 250 for 2 hrs. I didnt follow this exactly and ended up getting something called "Solvent pop" Pics are posted on Reddit Cerakote section. Once I followed instructions from Cerakote to a T the final product came out amazing.

What if you have a paintjob you want to cerakote over? If you sandblast your paint job, you'll ruin it. Same goes for cerakoting over a hydro dipped project. As far as the blades, you need to know what you are doing. Certain blades are heat treated at certain temps... But as long as you are well below that temperature it shouldn't change the metallurgical properties.

Interesting creative engineering. Could you have done the same thing using/a Safari Snorkel kit for a 1984 Toyota Pickup? Would the fitment/gaps/etc been about the same? Also. the gray PU w/out a snorkel - what is the name of the brush guard bumper? I understand ARB briefly made their bumpers for '79-83, but have not for decades. It was a bolt on w/no cutting of lower fenders or lower valence -. Few made it to US. Looking for a period correct Bull Bumper/brush guard.

I have both. The wedge is more tactical. Better for self defense/quick deploy. The arkfeld seems better for edc and work. Both awesome fucking lights. I bought the wedge before the arkfeld simply due to the universal charging port. As other have mentioned proprietary charging is a deal breaker.

Hey I think they listened to you.. the newer UV version of the Olight Arkfeld has a slimmer backend and a deeper 2-way pocket clip. Charging port is located in the same place but they've squeezed it down so the magnetic ring cut off on two sides so it's not a full circle.

Pretty big difference, the wedge puts out more light and easier and quicker to turn on in case of a self defense situation

I back pocket my wedge & it's a great no frills just get the job done light.

Let me give you some background to help explain some things. Both trucks have lic plate Bruiser because Tamiya is selling this truck as they are with many of their old line (Super champ now called fighting buggy). So they are not going to sue themselves over Tamiya copyright! Why not brand it as Tamiya you ask? Because Bang-good and Alibaba & AliExspress wont sell a brand name ie look up watch bands for G shock, they have no brand in pictures but when they arrive at your home they still say G shock on the band because it is G shock making money at a lower price and yep I sell G Shock wrist bands. Lol However Toyota is not onboard this time & so Tamiya can’t run the name or any other grill branding. Both trucks ARE made in same factory on same assembly line by Tamiya on west Ring rd Jiangsu China. Same place Tamiya has been since 1978. The transmission was a bad design from the start so they redesigned it. Wish they would update steering. Lol How do I know this information you ask? Because I went to China to a Pinball factory, a CNC factory and Tamiya factory for my personal eBay parts company in 2018 for two weeks to see what parts I could get my hands on. Hope that helps.
