That's a great review, thank you! I totally agree, as i had the same overall impression. One of the scenes i really like in the show is the dances in the retirement home, it was fun 😅 and i also liked the way they showed Death and his attempts to create and make friends, his song is hillarios 😅

lol yea very much. Listening to the audiobook while doing other stuff is also terrible cause you just like focus on smth else and then all of the sudden you get hit by smth really sad and you’re like “OH MY GODS I FORGOT THIS WAS A THING”

Yeah the big thing about Carrot is that he dislike power, he don't want it, in any way of form, he get the rank of camptain because he feel is the position he can help more people, Carrot whole thing is that he is the most simple man in the world, he has thing big positive view of everyone, as Angua say once "nobody want to disapoint him, because will be like kicking the world biggest puppy" Angua situation really change a lot, because in the books Werewolfs are "conplicated" is not a 1 day problem, is a every day problem thing, it affect how she things, how she reacts, is not 1 big complication is 30 different small complications, and has a hard impact in why she stay in the watch. Her backstory is important because Angua hate descrimination, and she always talk against descrimination, but in the books she is also the first person to say "yeah no, werewolfs are dangerous, there a reason why everyone from humans to animals hate us, and my family is the worst"

I'd agree with this list. Haven't seen Going Postal though, though I enjoyed the book. On a side note, I wish they did Thief of Time. It might work better as an animated series, but imagine all the cool effects they could do with all the time slicing.

I have never heard of Escaping Mr. Rochester but I am so intrigued! I loved Jane Eyre in high school and I recently re-read it for the first time in years. So many red flags from Mr. Rochester! I'll have to look up this re-telling.

I went into one of my local charities shops and got five Terry Prattchet books for £7.25 three were £1.75 each and the others two were £1. And in very good nick hardly touched, no folds on any of the pages and bought a slimmers cook book as well. I like all the Goblin books and of course Moist and the wee free men and our favourite witch out of the series of books very different to the other subject matter and being a wizard fan and guards fan with a 6 foot 6 inch dwarf captain and a rock living as a sergeant. Living on a world that's flat and with a elephant or four who has to lift a leg to let the sun to go round the disc it's a complex system of jokes, missed truth's and a hole lot of bang for your thoughts. Suddenly I want ice cream and my bed. As for BBC they ruined certain books for me with there woke crap by putting women in the men's roll's. The patrician, the assassins guild, corporal nobbs also as a werewolf and ditrius being killed off plus various other concerns and the bad acting well they got paid and not seen a DVD yet by BBC America and BBC and the mixing of three or four books into one glorious hole thanks BBC don't do anymore unless they are kept to the originals . Unrelated, I wish channel 4 would show some of the old cartoon version's of Terry Prattchet stuff, as I never seen any of the originals cartoons, or when they were on VHS or not or release them on DVD at some time in the past. I would paid for this, but not if, it's going to be downloaded Love mum

thank you for this informative review, so the more tradpub books are on netgalley not booksirens? i love booksirens so much more because their interface is so much easier to work with but i was wondering if the more "hyped" books get dropped on both netgalley and booksirens?

Really like the sound of The Princes in the Tower. I have had a great start to 2024 with regard to reading non-fiction..... all fantastic reads: 1.Educated by Tara Westover 2. Radium Girls by Kate Moore 3. I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelou 4. A Visible Man by Edward Enninful Have just started Chernobyl Prayer by Svetlana Alexievich 😥 On my NFTBR I have The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot and Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer. The joys of a good book..... 😊😊😊

Thank you for this video! Beautiful journal! I appreciate how you just removed the old “around the world” spread because it simply didn’t work for you and just re-did it to suit your needs. The image of the Amalfi coast bell tower on your June opening page is so pretty! What kit is it from?

Really enjoyed your video. As an Black American one of my educational goals for this year is to learn more about 1) the black experience in Britain and read black British authors, and 2) reading more nonfiction to detox from the indoctrination of America versus the world. Or should I say American *exceptional-ism." I am ordering Black and British for my library. Thank you. I look forward to your future videos! Peace
