Last year for some reason my voice part (soprano 2) could NOT get that last part down, so we spent about 3-4 weeks getting screamed at… eventually it worked but I gave up and sand the soprano 1 part!

This beautiful madrigal was sung live at my wedding as my own flower of beauty was escorted down the aisle. I stood there absolutely mesmerized.

You're telling a story, so we have to be able to understand the words. I get that the director wants a jaunty, quick tempo. But it has to be at a speed where the choir can enunciate and we can understand. It's too fast for that.

Absolutely beautiful!! As an organist, Bruce Wilkin has been at the console of FBC Tulsa for many years and is one of the best in this part of the US. Thanks you for sharing.

Alan Raines worked magic with the Baylor choirs. it was such an incredible experience studying at Baylor while he was directing choirs there just to have that level of musicianship in the school. I majored in violin performance but the most enduring impression I have from my time there are the stunning choral performances I heard and participated in.

I sang this in high school. It is so very beautiful. This is by far the best rendition of this song on KZfaq. It has feeling, pauses where there should be, softer in the exact right places. Kudos. EXCELLENT JOB

So beautiful! Our choir at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Versailles KY is singing this as our Palm Sunday anthem. We are all of an age to have known struggle and sadness (several have disabilities and family members who are suffering) and cannot get through this hymn without tears of gratitude and hope in the great truths here. ❤

1. My Shepherd will supply my need Jehovah is His Name; In pastures fresh He makes me feed Beside the living stream. He brings my wand’ring spirit back When I forsake His ways, And leads me, for His mercy’s sake, In paths of truth and grace. 2. When I walk thru the shades of death, Thy presence is my stay; A word of Thy supporting breath Drives all my fears away. Thy hand, in sight of all my foes, Doth still my table spread; My cup with blessings overflows; Thine oil anoints my head. 3. The sure provisions of my God Attend me all my days; O may Thy house be mine abode, And all my work be praise! There would I find a settled rest (While others go and come), No more a stranger or a guest, But like a child at home.

This is a beautiful song, inspired by John Keats, and composed by David N Childs. This song is such a dichotomy. Listening to it you feel a heavenly comfort, as well as a painful sadness. Marvelously done.

Not to brag or anything, but we sang this in my eighth grade choir. Props to my choir director for somehow getting 80 thirteen-year-olds to do this and to do it well. Of course, we weren't as good as this group, but I still consider it quite an accomplishment. I'm almost twenty now and I still remember every note in this song. I've always felt incredibly connected to it.
