Sure, the bush hat may be anachronistic by about a century, but the important thing is Rhys looks damn good in it

is this 1.6 gdi engine reliable after 150.000 km? and which model year is to be avoided?
@directino4 күн бұрын
The car overall is super quality build and reliable. I even had a 10 year warranty that was not basically used. The 1.6 engine is also famous to be unbreakable but has one well known issue. It has some problems cooling the oil and after 130 000 km (for me it was in the year 11) starts burning oil. Probably just 1-2 litters per year, most people probably wouldn't even fix it, just put more oil but I changed the problem piston ring and now should be fine for at least another 130 000 km.

@@directino Thanks for detailed answer man. I wanted to check out one in beautiful black color but the ower told me they had to overhaul the engine at 100k km under warranty as it was consuming oil in excess. After that he still notices some oil consumption but it was not as much as before the repair. The car has 160k km and that put me off so I didn't consider it unfortunately.

Is it just me or does this scene in particular just feel like Rhys and Taika bullshitting each other to get a laugh rather than Stede and Ed. It's lovely :)

This was a missed opportunity for them to eat boucan, which is the origin for the term "buccaneers". In the late 17th century, outlaws and exiled sailors who escaped to the jungles, learned from the native americans to cook their meat in a fashion the French called "boucan". These people became "buccaneers". Eventually these outlaws settled on an island called Tortuga and became the first pirates of the Caribbean. I think it would've been a neat nod to the history of the Golden Age of Piracy.

In ancient times some rowdy tavern patrons would carve at the wall complaining about bad service, so it's not historically inaccurate either!

The show is not funny. Just in ego trip for the writer/director. The guy with the beard.
@lodpdl2 жыл бұрын
Just because you have some weird negative parasocial relationship with Taika Waititi and don't find his humor appealing -which is you god-given right- it doesn't mean it's not funny at all. Humor is a wide variety of things and there's a bit of everything in media and comedy for everyone's taste. And just in case, I'm not a Taika stan or anything like that and I'm not saying you have to love this or the show but the fact remains it is funny for many of us. It is quite unnecessary to come here and be this negative for no reason. You could've just move on with your life if you didn't like it and I really, truly hope you do cause wasting your energy on things you don't like seems like an awful way to use your time when you could be watching something you enjoy instead. I'm not even being sarcastic. I wholeheartedly hope you find something you like and stop trying to spread this unnecessary negativity.
@jgsmile13312 жыл бұрын
@@lodpdl Yes you are right it's not funny but if you like it ok. The first few episodes were hopeful but then they turned to mush. Ego I assume is the problem.
@getlonely2 жыл бұрын
Taika directed 1 of 10 episodes and didn't write any of them. So you probably not only have a really pedestrian/boring sense of humour, but you're not even good at leaving vaguely mean-spirited KZfaq comments. Which is sad.
