I'm very much of two minds about the Jada Street Fighter stuff. Once the glow of novelty wore off, they're getting a huge grace that the franchise they're using was built on 8 bit graphics, and a cartoon aesthetic to the sprites. The sculpts are just too damn soft to be acceptable for anything else. So like when I see folks asking for Mortal Kombat stuff, if Jada didn't SIGNIFICANTLY upgrade their sculpt and paint work, those folks would be livid about how junk those figures would look. But if they did, those figures wouldn't be 25 bucks, which would also piss people off. Maybe Jada could do Dark Stalkers? But even then, they'd have to tighten up sculpts and paints. The Jada figures pose very well, and they look fine for Street Fighter for 25 bucks... but they're also proof that we'll overlook a lot through nostalgia glasses.

Cool list and enjoy the variety. No Mythic Legions on the list? For my personal list, id have more of the Poxxus wave higher than most of these. Aracagorr is IMO one of the greatest action figures ever made.

I liked the looks of the Poxxus wave, but it really wasn't for me in the end. I DID score 4 of the new skeletons in the in stock sale this past week, so I look forward to seeing how these feel in hand ... but, yeah, for me, when it comes to fantasy figures this year, Savage Crucible is my winner, their stuff really is terrific.

I bought the PT-01 based on your recommendation and... wow. EVERYONE asks about that Prime. Todd is a lot of fun, jokes aside. Did you hear Jada's Akuma will have updated articulation? They wanted to start with a shoto and end with a shoto to show how far they've come! So stoked!

@@JHernandezto me that is the best Hasbro Mando fig, it’s on par with some import versions.. great detail, paint apps, cloth goods.. the Carter on the other hand is just alright , nothing special about it.. and the black tap shoes look awful. Lol

Really, for me, price, availability, and ease of use is what keeps it from being higher. Top 3 is still really awesome, though.

Your top tens are always entertaining. I disagreed with you on the DarkWolf figure. That fig disappointed me big time with its preference of sculpt over articulation. A barbarian figure should be super articulated. Savage Crucible understands this.

I don't get it, if Number 8 "Goes" Why doesn't it fall to Number 9 instead of getting off the list?

It's more important to me to have a balanced list, the numbers almost become arbitrary. Order still matters, sure, but if I end up with 3 MAFEX figures, 4 Hasbro figures, all superheroes, or all movie figures, it goes against what a healthy and vital list is, IMO. Plus, it just makes things more interesting. Sometimes, depending on how much I like something, they can go down a number or up a number ... for instance, on the old list, Bison was number 2, he ended up being number 1 here. This is one of those instances where old list figures that ended up being replaced just didn't have a place on the list anymore. I hope that makes sense. 👍

What I love about this list is, first, it’s not what I would have chosen, which is fun to watch. Second, it shows your interest and passion. Third, it’s a list that I want to look at closer. I might need to grab a few of them.

Yeah, soft goods, and they really do come with a BUNCH of stuff. I actually sold off half the accessories, just kept their heads, hands, and respective weapons, it was just TOO much stuff for me. 😅

Writing on behalf of the ' lurkers association ' I have found that the yolopark g1 optimus is easily my favorite of the year. Nothing else comes close. #2 the s h figurarts ultraman rise.Then there's the mcfartlane 1st appearance batman, classic green lantern, and the cartoon skeletor and he-man.😂❤

Got the black and brown wolves of preorder. You might wanna take a look at some of the cosmic legions line and upcoming mythic legions. Just started getting into some of them and they should definately be in that list!
