Prince played the halftime Super Bowl show in the rain using 3 different electric guitars. The band said that when they were done playing their instruments died. Best Super Bowl performance ever. You can get electrocuted like someone else said.

When you leave bunch of metal dudes in the basement and they get so bored they play punk and experimented it into something. That's My Chemical Romance right there 😂

On Mick Gordons main youtube ch annel he got two videos called Doom behind the music part 1 & 2. They do a great job on giving a little bit of insight into how he comes around the whole music process. He also made music for other games too, Killer instinct is the name of it and it was pretty much a mix of street fighter and mortal combat. His song Inferno is a great one, but it's quite a different style compared to his work with the Doom franchise. Though it works just as well on any gym playlist for when you gotta get a few extra reps in.

I’m pretty sure Mick programmed the drums but I might be wrong. All I know is Matt Halpern from Periphery played a medley live with Mick at a game con

You should upload your reaction to the the risk of rain series soundtrack if you haven’t already. The series has probably some of the best music in gaming. Some stand outs from the series are The Rain Formerly Known as Purple, Con Lentitud Poderosa, You’re Gonna Need a Bigger Ukulele. The Raindrop that Fell to the Sky, Once in a lullaby, Coalescence. These are just ones that immediately come to mind but there is not a single song in the series that can be called bad.

No for sure but there is quite a bit of bass added on top but that 9 string is insane

Great reaction! Some interesting info. This was the first track Mick made for Doom (2016), but it was initially rejected by id Software as they said it wasn't the direction they wanted to go. However, they needed a track for a level at the last minute, so it was suggested they use the song that was rejected and they agreed. Crazy to think we almost didn't get this amazing track.
@cranberrysauce614 күн бұрын
it is kinda crazy to think they originally wanted to avoid metal music with no guitars and full synth. then mick did his thing and ended up with the doom soundtrack, being metal and with guitars
@cudahitz3 күн бұрын
why on earth with it ever even think of rejecting something so amazing! I appreciate the facts

Not only this didn't win the prize for OST of the year. They gave it to FF7 remake. A game from 1997. OST stands for Original Sound Track. How much original could that be?

A little story since I don't think anyone brought it up... When Mick Gordon was brought up to make the soundtrack for Doom 2016, Id Software told him "no metal, no guitars". They were thinking of the soundtrack of the original game which copied a lot of 80s / 90s thrash metal. Sooo Mick got around it by creating this freakishly engineered techdeath. One of the songs includes a pentagram in it's spectrogram. It didn't take long for Id to let him start using guitars again.
