*MY GOD!* How obsessed was I with "Asterix in Britain" growing up! 😁💕 PS: Here, I would have been just 13 months old!

Can tell this was Christmas Eve! The studio behind John here was usually bustling, but it looks almost empty here!

Any chance you have the recording of the Watchnight Service? As someone who participated in it it would be fantastic to see it again!

01:45 - I just saw a mention of Weathernews. As far as I know, they're a Japanese organization who is...well, they're what they sound like. Weathernews are a company who provides weather data to TV stations and online services. They're better known internationally for providing weather forecast content for Nintendo Wii users through the Forecast channel. However I did find out recently that they have a live video channel on this platform as well.

love the old footage . One thing I used to really hate and still do are previews which they'd ruin a scene 0:53 so when the programme comes on first time you know what's coming .

This ad brings back memories but not of my childhood because I don't remember this ad from my childhood but I do remember it being one of the first KZfaq videos I ever watched back in 2006!😄😄😄

The amount of paint they had to carry up that mountain though? Shut up you idiot. Those cans of paint were empty! Oh right, of course!

In addition to his STV continuity announcing gig at this time, Brian Ford presented 1152 Clyde 2's weekend breakfast show and also provided relief cover for other presenters upon their absences, as did former STV newsreader Angus Simpson (Oban's community radio station Oban FM also relayed Angus and Brian's radio shows with Clyde 2 as a sustaining programme service throughout this time)

It would've been the earliest appearance of John Suchet that day, as he normally wouldn't first appear nationally each day until the mid-afternoon summary.

Wow, that Cartoon Time slide, though. Looks like it was made by the same artists at all those bootleg, public domain-cartoon VHS tapes that flooded the market in the late 80s. Cursed as all hell.

I love how Drambuie ads are so stupid, because no way that chain of events would happen within the course of a dinner party, but in a way, they work because the music is fucking awesome, excuse my American. Also, that Whirlpool ad is so yuppie, it hurts, like there's no way those two people actually use that kitchen. That's probably the least insulting Harp Lager ad I've ever seen, from the sexist 70s ads to another ad I saw that's vaguely insulting to ethnic people. At least he's running away from someone who's actually kind of a prick. Also, Oracle on their last legs until they're replaced by Teletext, Ltd, who seemed boring, I dunno, America never really had Teletext except on Superstation TBS. Yes I've been watching too much Bob the Fish Productions, how can you tell?
