Thanks a lot. It saved me at least 500 bucks. It started when my nest thermostat throws E4 error, no power to Rh. I found out the 3a fuse was blown. Replaced it with a new one. Blown again. Checked the terminal C and Y on the wire to condenser, and there is a short on the outside unit.

I have gas hot water baseboard boiler for heat with two zone heating. First floor thermostat is heat only. Upstairs I have a thermostat that controls my heat and also hooked up to a central air system in my attic. So if I’m looking for my common wire upstairs do I look at my central air system because my thermostat that’s down stairs I only have two wires. Any help thanks

Hi, Jay! This is Jermey McGuire I got 2 brand new air conditioners.” Installed back in April this year, I previously had a 15 year old 5 ton Lennox air conditioner. In July 2022 the Lennox a/c had its 1st fluke, the high pressure switch tripped I didn’t have air conditioning upstairs for a couple of days, the a/c technician had to reset the high pressure switch.” And clean the coils, Then a year later the indoor blower motor died. On my Lennox furnace, 10 days after the motor died.” I got the motor replaced it was a variable speed blower motor. The furnace was extremely rusted out, my downstairs air conditioner died 2 days before I was getting my upstairs air conditioner installed.” It all worked out!! I got 2 Goodman air conditioners the downstairs Goodman is a 3.5 ton and the upstairs air conditioner is a 5 ton. With my old Lennox air conditioner, it wouldn’t cool under 80 on the thermostat.” I now don’t have to worry about it anymore. I’m keeping cool and comfortable upstairs!! Here in South, Texas it gets extremely hot!! You most definitely need a/c here in South, Texas. Stay safe and stay cool!!! 🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶🥶

Video editing is very weird. It's like you did a bunch of audio over old vidoes or something. Feels like nothing is sync.

Would a bad contactor be a reason for a blown 3 amp fuse in the house?

Hello 👋🏼 Can I just cut out that Power saver box? It used to show 3 led lights and now there’s only 1 green light on. I ordered the capacitor because I’m not getting any power at all. But the inside air is running or circulating. Thank you Great video AAA++

Good informative video. I think capacitor(s) that are separated will outlast a dual run capacitor they won't heat up as much. Something every HVAC guy should keep in his truck is a few AmRad multi tap capacitors. And maybe a 70/10 or if you have the turbo 200X you won't need to worry. Yeah they're more expensive but there's room for it in the budget with the average price to go out and change a capacitor on a heat pump and maybe swap out a contactor for not much extra.

My unit has 2 separate capacitors (start and run). I replaced the filter, pull out the digital thermostat, cleaned it and replaced batteries, and replaced the start capacitor. Same problem. The unit can't still keep up with the thermostat temp. Would a failing run capacitor affect how cold the supply air is? It was cooling the house fine 2 days go.

I replaced capacitor, fan motor and contactor myself, but the contactor was still not pulling in. I had to have an HVAC technician come over. It turned my AC low pressure switch was damaged. He bypassed the wires.

I had to break out my wheel last year on an 07 Trane 3.5 ton. There was just no way as it seemed fused to the blower shaft. Now, after watching your video, I know how it's actually supposed to be done. LOL!

I have the issue that you mentioned that my condenser outside keeps tripping the breaker. Inside my air works fine. I had someone come check it out they told me I have a bad breaker, but my electrician said it’s old and he can replace it but he thinks it’s coming from the condenser. So now it’s a he said she said and at $150+ per service call I’d like to get more info lol. When I reset the breaker the unit works for about 45min. After 30-45 min the unit stops spinning outside and the inside furnace keeps blowing regular temperature air. My problem is that my unit is 13y old and has a little physical damage to the outside from the previous home owners. My R22 was just filled a month ago it has never been filled in the 13 years so it was semi low but not empty. Technician confirmed yesterday no leaks in the system as of now. So after I change the breaker I assume this is going to still trip. Should I replace the contacts because it cheap and easy and see if that fixes it? I have a feeling it’s welded together like you said in one of your videos as well as this one.

Just one complaint. This is all great if you can actually GET the damned casing apart. Why does it seem like everyone that makes these videos always start with the casing already off? I've tried with many AC's over the years and have NEVER been able to get the screws loose. They just strip so I just hose off what I can get to, which is never enough.

It sounds like most of this advice is oriented toward those with gas furnaces. Talking about cracked heat exchangers and carbon monoxide sounds like it could be a gas related problem but would an electric furnace suffer any of these issues?

This exceptionally well-done video saved me a lot of money! Not only did it help me identify the faulty lid switch, but it provided all the necessary information to locate a replacement part for one-fourth of the price from a parts supplier and how to successfully install the new part. Thank You!!!!
