It took me 101/2 hours. 5 hours up and 5 hours down, 1/2 hour lunch at the top. I am surprised that people are doing it in less than half this. Only 13 people overtook me going up which I thought I was fast. I knew I was slow coming down because everyone seemed to overtake me as I was exhausted. Also took about 100 photos, so maybe added 1/2 hour on my time. It was a bucket list adventure on my own at 66. Good to see bits of recognition in your video. I thought it strange also that I parted from the marker stones near the top that didn’t highlight the footpath.

Guatemala is one of my favorite places. The people there are incredibly kind and the food is delicious. If you like IPAs and haven't visited yet, Cervezaria Cuatorce has great beers and a good atmosphere but if your looking for something fancier, La Casa del Ron was another favorite. They have a bangin' Mai Thai with Ron Zacapa and coconut cream. Enjoy your stay!

Love the way you said there's a phat view...there's a really nice view 😅 had to translate the Crawley into standard English. Yeah I get eaten by the mozzies as well, I think they like the taste of our European blood. Definitely more luxurious than my trip there, I hiked up and camped in the volcano opposite freezing my bits off 😅 was a great experience though. Love a good IPA, shame they didn't have any left 😅 🍻 didn't realise Guatemalans don't like spice, they love it here in Mexico 😅 the lasagne looked banging mate. Quality views from the patio. Enjoy the rest of your trip mate

Great vid guys! You have captured the essence of that route. Absolutely loved the confusion you had on the last bit of the scramble.... everyone feels as you did. Asking others for guidance isn't weak, it's the most sensible when the adrenaline is flowing and you're really tired. The summit is a bit of an anticlimax.... just steps, after you have mountaineered your way up 300 metres of rubble! ........... If you do the route again, instead of returning the way you have ascended, I would urge you to go down the South Ridge.... fantastically airy, but perfectly safe. Really enjoyed your personal take on it all. Thanks! and your route time of 8 hours is average...... surprising, isn't it? :)

Bro, as a Mexican I must warn you, the 2 guys who appear behind you in the minute 00:31 were following you, but when you turned the camera and saw their faces they got scared and in fact turned their faces away immediately, even from a distance you can see how they are following you but more slowly and they don't take their eyes off you and decided not to continue getting closer. Be careful my friend, Mexico is a beautiful country but unfortunately like almost every big city you have to be careful when you go out.
