@@Gigachadly thats a good video for the single row radiators . how ever for the ones with multiple rows and copper pipes in the middle it might be a little more difficult
@Gigachadly2 жыл бұрын
@@ron6505 true little more tedious for the multiple row copper pipes but I’ve still successfully done it, I guess best idea is to find a technique you don’t mind doing and use that!

Thanks for putting this up. The common clumping cat litter shown in many green sand videos has recently become unavailable. I was having trouble finding a local substitute. Seeing your video showed me what to get. Again, thanks. :-)

You'll see that same Green Flame coming off the copper when you are brazing with an oxy/acetylene torch on refrigerant piping - that's when you know it is hot enough to melt the SilFos rods and braze your connections. Do you scrap for a living...? I remember a video you posted a long time ago where y'all were demo'ing a building.

It's part of my income, yes. My dad does construction and I get to keep some nice loads of scrap from different projects. 😁

How much time took to dig it out? and how easy it is to acquire the radiator out there?
@boycahmelts27774 жыл бұрын
It's about 20 to 35 minutes to get to the bottom layer(don't do the last set of pipes, too hard) and it's not easy to find big radiators like these.

It's so amusing how people call this the "star of David", when it didn't even exist in his time. It was unknown until the end of king Solomon's reign; when his pagan wives swayed his heart to follow other gods.

I tried using a 400 watt Blender to break down the kitty litter. Lesson learned if you do this only add a small amount of the rocks at a time. I burnt out the blender in about 2 minutes ..... I may have tried to mix too much at once.
@boycahmelts27775 жыл бұрын
Yea, i figured out it is better to put the kitty litter in a few layers of plastic sandwich bags and then smash it with a mallet. Just sift the very fine clay into a container and crush again the bigger stuff etc.
@Bighoss9.515 жыл бұрын
You are making it harder then then you have too. I bent the aluminum fins with a flat blade screwdriver
@Electronic40815 жыл бұрын
I got tired of sifting sand after a few minutes and ended up taping the strainer to the end of a reciprocating saw. Not on the blade but the handle, the vibrations would sift it.
